As I posted today on my WATRB blogThe Ethics of Leaking It's an interesting issue: - Is it right that a certain club official or officials leak information to certain selected posters? (Which is a very different issue of whether the information is interesting) - Why does the official or officials do it? What do these officials get back in return? Is there an explicit of implied quid pro quo? - Is it right that (true or untrue) stories should be leaked to the press? Interesting subjects for debate www.wearetherangersboys.com/forum/blog.php?b=97Why does the club do it? Does it Matter?

Saw a movie recently where the father has started a new business. On side of his van is "In business since 1975". The daughter says "Dad, thats a lie" Father says. "Well its a business lie, thats much different to a regular lie'.

Also as I put somewhere else, leaking can be a strategy.

Leaking something truthful is one thing.
But deliberately leaking something that you know is not truthful takes it to another level

As was said by Joseph Welch at the Army-McCarthy hearings [Huhh? bemused looks all around!] "...Let us not assassinate this lad further.... You have done enough. Have you no sense of decency sir, at long last? Have you left no sense of decency?"

That reminds me of the time back when a certain poster, who back then was talking to me (without complete hostility), used to "dare" me to post something re WATRB on Indys - which I did on more than oneoccasion. That was a little problematic!
