Is your tendency to believe? Or your predisposition to not to? Does this make a difference which club official says it? Who are you most likely to believe? Who least likely?
You can extend this to which journalists - if any - you most believe.
And even which board posters (excluding QPR Report!) who you most believe/least believe?

I think of the Watson story which ran for months. Or the Gorkss story or the Sousa is here to build us to prem. Whatever I read theres an index of suspicion. If two tabloids report the same who knows. Generally there is a situation and a buzz. Flav doesnt smile when blackstock scores. then theres a contract. Then no contract, he stays, he goes. Now Scott and Pete always have news. Is it news, is it rumour, " a striker is coming". What you ask us to do to list our sources doesnt happen with newspapers and messengers. The average club production is minimal and one learns what to believe after it happens. Personally, what isnt news more often becomes real news.

Not since Terry Venables walked onto the pitch, microphone in hand and stated that he would be our manager for the foreseeable future. 2 days later he was at Barcelona! Many years later and I still find it hard to forgive him, though always have and always will.

You can't even take the the tickets at face value because of the booking fee.
I don't believe anything they say unless I see it for myself.

What do you think of those replies, QPRReport? How many supporters would have written the same thing in more or less the same words?
"One learns what to believe after it happens" - "Many years later and I still find it hard to forgive him" - "I don't believe anything they say unless I see it for myself".
The facts tell us all we need to know. On the playing side - the results. On the financial side - the accounts.

Well I don't think one should lie! Can not answer questions. Can answer only part of the question. Can answer a question that wasn't asked. Can give an answer that can mean different things. But blatantly telling something that you know is not true? That's a lie. And that's bad.
(Now re Venables: I read his autobiography and for what's that worth: It was not a done deal at the time of the QPR game)

(Now re Venables: I read his autobiography and for what's that worth: It was not a done deal at the time of the QPR game) With hindsight, and also with the benefit of being an older wiser person now (I hope) and knowing the details of Venables departure I can say the blame fairly lies at the feet of Jim Gregory. Personally, if I was Jim, I would have chased him down the hallway and begged him to be our manager, not just let him walk off. However, being only 10 years old and having no-one who could explain it to me at the time, it left me very cynical of anything to ever come out of the club since. I accept that circumstances change on a day to day basis in football, now, but once scarred......................

Answering the question in the present climate, which I'm presuming is when the question is intended, then again most definately not. Though this is for various reasons, some understandable and some not. The chairman/sporting director is such an untrustworthy person that an entire CPS case folded on the basis of his character, under direct orders from a judge! He was highly adept at using this side of his character to keep Rangers afloat and eventually take over before ensuring our financial security, though. So good man or bad man, you tell me. The new board - the fact that they employ spin merchants tells me all I need to know. It's not a case of having to break the bad news to us positively, as to why they are here, but to cover over the lies and mistakes that are being made. A four year plan or a 3 year plan?. A four year plan to get to the premiership or the champions league? The logo will not change. The club's fans and history are important to us and so on....... You have to protect your business from your competitors and in football lying about most things has been common practice in the business side of things long before November 2007. I'm not blaming the board or judging them, I'm just saying I don't believe anything until I see it and can metaphorically 'put my hand on it.' Like most things in life really.

Poor sod must have been totally gutted. In fact, if I was Garry, I would have decked him at the nearest oppotunity. To answer the question. No Which is a shame really. But......
