the fact we got turned over by 4 at home got overlooked by my mates who were too busy laughing at our kit.forget all this "retro classic" nonsense.we just look like the skanky kid that turned up for his first day at big school wearing the wrong uniform and no shoes..

Well I loved the kit and plenty of football fans I know like it as well. In fact someone I know reckons it is the best kit in the Prem but I have to disagree with him about that.

I don't think the new kit looks at all bad, for many of the early years the hoops were narrower and more.
It looks especially good without all the sponsorship rubbish.

Welcome 21 ! Must confess , dont get me wrong i like a decent kit but i'm far more concerned with what players we have and what results we can muster than just the kit! I wouldnt be concerned if we went out their in string vests providing we come back with the points in the bag ! I doubt the older Generation followers used to worry as much about the kits in the old days they were covered in mud and water in 10 minutes. The kits what it is , we cant change that now , but we can still change the Team to keep us in this league !

I think the white shorts & white socks combo looked smart, the top is definately not "Classic" QPR & looks a bit weird / definately didnt look right on TV.
We have had worse down the years, but this kit is definately NOT "Classic" "Retro" QPR, like I have said, I've seen worse, but I think they've made a little bit of a pigs ear of it, too many hoops, too thin, as a QPR fan I think it looks weird.

So long as it was blue and white hoops then that was OK and it didn't change from one year to the next.

I wasnt judging you in any way 21years , just stating theres alot of kit talk around at the minute ! If we sign Bullard and this Liverpool defender aswell i dont know where we will keep them all either. Although i do think its worth a punt on Bullard. I suppose the new away kit will grow on us , a bit like an orange on a tree !

Just recounting to 'er indoors this morning that in my youth the team wore the blue and white hooped shirts with number in red on the back - no sponsors - no logos or other badges - no player names. We knew every player in the team and, what's more, could pronounce and spell all their names. The shirt numbers were 2 to 11 and the goalkeeper always wore a green jersey, except when playing Plymouth Argyle when it was red. To the best of my recollection there was no such thing as a replica shirt - certainly did not see one on the terraces. Didn't have subs in the early days either. If a player got injured in the match you played with ten men. If the injured player happened to be your goalkeeper then somebody else put on the jersey and, more often than not, you were up sh*t creek without a paddle! Ah, happy days.

Well on Saturday we were as close to 1-11 being on the pitch as I can remember, only Tommy Smith ruining it (needed Orr and Dyer on the pitch together in place of him). So I reckon it could happen this season for all of you harping on about the good ol' days

Gotta say, didn't like it when I first saw the picture but thought it looked sharp on the players on Sat. If it didn't have that hideous abortion on the breast I'd buy one. I particularly liked the fact there was not sponsor on it but I guess that's a separate issue.

Or have the crest on the Elleslie road stand suffer a similar fate as this.

Will the 2nd kit be officially unveiled before Saturday, or will we just wear it and then try to sell it?

it'll be a collector's item in a few years, with no sponsors, one day, it might be worth 50 pounds!

It's one of the better shirts I've seen in a while. Lack of a sponsor is really refreshing.

I like the narrow hoops. I always preferred narrower hoops to broader ones, and painted my Subbuteo team that way.

I love the new kit. I much prefer the new hoops compared to the last few years. Maybe would have had blue shorts and the hoops on the socks but can't have everything. Just hoping we get the old badge back and maybe a sponsor by adidas!!
