It was a lose-lose. With tarbs staying we have a chance of some good footie and Neil has a talented player, if he had gone, the club lose a talented player, Neils misses out on any money and those tow greedy F***ers laugh their way to the bank. Now they have to pay Tarbs wages and neil has a decent player. F*** you Bernie and F*** you Flavio.

So they didn't get what they wanted for AT, they have not gotten offered what they wanted for the club and see now that they have pushed it as far as they can before they ruin theire chance on profitting from a sale of the club on a later stage. That's me reading between the lines.
Happy that Adel is staying and excited that we have toughass Manager in Neil Warnock. The statment is only for reasuring themselves why they are owning this club. Bothroyd, ok topp target, Dyer, don't think so, but schreewed by NW.

Well Taarabt may think he's too good for us...But if he wants to get away he has to prove himself in the Premiership...with QPR! Much can happen between now and January....

David Mcintyre notes.... Dave McIntyre/West London Sport
QPRQPR and PSG fail to agree Taarabt dealAdel Taarabt is staying at QPR, the club have announced. A statement was issued on behalf of owners Bernie Ecclestone and Flavio Briatore after Rangers failed to agree a deal with French club Paris St Germain for the 22-year-old. The statement also confirmed that Wales defender Danny Gabbidon, who has been on trial with the R’s, will be offered a contract. “We are pleased to confirm that Adel Taarabt will be staying at QPR this summer,” the statement read. “Despite receiving a substantial bid for our Moroccan international, we rebuffed all approaches and indeed, we are keen to build for the future in the Premier League, and not sell one of our prized assets. “We are aware of some issues that have been raised in the press by the coach.” “Should we have decided to sell Taarabt this summer, we made it clear to Neil Warnock that we would reinvest funds into the squad. “Taarabt is fully committed to the club and is looking forward to proving his undoubted star-quality for QPR in the Premier League. “Our decision not to sell him only serves to reiterate the ambition and commitment we have both shown to QPR since we arrived here.” Taarabt has made no secret of his desire to move to a top club, but no Premier League managers have so far shown any interest. Cash-rich PSG did make an approach soon after the end of last season, but their initial valuation was well short of Rangers’.
By the start of this week it seemed the two clubs were close to thrashing out a deal, but talks have since ended abruptly.
Manager Warnock, referred to as “the coach” in the statement, recently angered his bosses by publicly hinting at his frustration at missing out on some of his transfer targets.
Warnock was warned after hinting at his frustration. He was given a warning, and has since been reluctant to comment on goings-on at Loftus Road. This was alluded to in the owners’ statement, which added: “We have backed Neil Warnock in bringing in his two top targets, Jay Bothroyd and Kieron Dyer, and we are working hard to try and pursue a couple of other targets the coach has identified. “Danny Gabbidon has impressed the coach whilst on trial and we are aiming to add him, as well as at least one or two other players to our squad in the near future. “Neil Warnock is our coach and we are working closely with him in a professional and confidential manner to try to achieve our aims and objectives. “The coach’s job is to coach the squad and identify players he believes will improve the squad. As a board, we deal with all the negotiations and we have been successful in completing deals for Bothroyd and Dyer so far. “We are aware of some issues that have been raised in the press by the coach, but we have discussed these with him internally and he has agreed to be more reserved in terms of what he discusses in the future.” www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/qpr-and-psg-fail-to-agree-taarabt-deal/

Here we go! Here we go! Here we go, here we go, here we go!!!!!!!! Great news!!! Bernie & Flav have finally got it!!!!!! In my opinion it's a shame that you don't get it. The only thing Bernie and Flabio have got is a refusal from PSG to meet their price for Taarabt. Do you think their comments towards our Manager (Warnock) are those of two men who have had a realisation and now 'get it' or do they display a strikingly similar arrogance to the press releases from around the Sousa days? Here we go is about all you've got right. Here we go again indeed.

Not exactly a surprise to see club "Apparatchik"/"Wannabe" (yes still active!) praise the statement and want "Whingers' to "get behind the club"

Taking a flyer as to who it is you are referring to Mac, I'll do what I always do and ignore any comment or statement from him as real fans are always behind our club and our team. Nondescript "owners" who are racking up the debts and continue to make arrogant statements at the real fans and denigrating those that are actively trying to ensure we do the right thing in the face of continued attempts at bullying real fans.
It is an ongoing issue with Briatore who doesn't give flying f*ck for the fans. The way those that have sat in South Africa Road for years have been treated since his arrival is plain to see. You have to be in the loft or ellerslie now to even have a bar to use for example!
Nobody tells me, or anyone else, how to support our club!!!

great news that adel is staying.
but this is warnocks doing, he has taken one for the 'team' so to speak, his comments have pushed them into this statement and i would like to believe the growing unrest across the message boards played a part to.
but yet again our owners are claiming to be the heroes, when in reality, all they have done is dangled us over a dark precipice and 'kindly' pulled us up a 'bit'.
we have not gained anything, we just haven't lost anything for the moment at least.
they still have hold of that rope, we are still tied to it, and that hole is still there.

Just a thought, he can win a match in a second, HE PLAYS NEARLY EVERY GAME even when being kicked to death, he scored 19 goals, set up 16 and is the most influential player in the squad, SO if any of you above think he is not good enough for the PREM then i think the other 24 will struggle as well. How many assists will ADEL get for JAY...Think about it?
PREM players in my opinion
KENNY, FAULIN, MACKIE, TAARABT, BOTHROYD
Thats a good start.!
Its quite possibly the best news that we could have had and if we get AMBROSE next week then its looking even better. DJ still being mooted around to.

Well I haveread and re read the offish statement (funny how the similarities with yesterdays LFW post. _) but says he will stay through the summer which ends September 21st equimox autumn or Sept 1 Meteorological autumn. Nothing about the whole season. Do not see the excitement. Also he has to prove himself at this level? To me all this notice says that everyone is vulnerable if they arent careful and we dont like you anymore. With Tango and the Jester back in the saddle again, expect anything mates, and dont expect it to go our way. Thats vanity. Their strong suit.

Changing the tone slightly I'm proper happy that tabs is staying not because warnock wants him and tbh I think tabs didn't want to go no official statement saying so from what I remember My concern is now My belief was that tabs was being sold and tango n cash were going also Kind of like when we sold routledge it felt like it was flavs stepping down present Sitting quietly now I want to be surprised I watched signs lastnight with mel Gibson I've got faith still

I think i'm pleased that Taarabt is staying but this depends on his attitude on the pitch. Last season this was mainly good but we need a Taarabt that will prove himself as a genuine player & to keep his sulks to an absolute minimum. I also hope that Neil wanted him to stay or this has f****d up his tactics for this season.
Once again the wording of an official statement leaves a lot to be desired & manages to change a good news statement into offending many of the congregation.
To me they do appear to have gone very defensive and feel the need to try to redress the negativity in the press, message boards & more importantly from the club football management.
I now think there is a chance that the unofficial statement on LFW was placed on their instructions as the official message was to similar to ignore.

I am so pleased I will see a player of his calibre strutting his stuff in the Premier for QPR as to see him live and not just clips on the TV is something else

From now on stop all negativity on this board. We have not weaken, we have plenty of time to add a couple of players in addition and except the ticket prices and the little money offered to Warnock, things are not so bad arent they? Agree!

Staying until Christmas Harlow and how motivated? If he wants to prove himself and get a bit move abroad isnt the motivation there alone to perform well in 20 games and show the world in the best League what he can do ! No brainer for me , i take Tarbs even with his hissy fits ! Hes A MATCH WINNER.! If people are prepared to say Dyer and Bullard are ok with their baggage and injuries , lets not forget Tarbs played every game nearly last year , which was no mean feat when the tackles flew into him . Ok he blew hot and cold , but when hes hot hes hot !

At the moment we havent strengthened from last year. Bothroyd in but Routledge out Has Paddy been secured yet? Dyer a crock. Adel? who knows Various players we couldnt sign cos we`re too cheap. Not much to be positive about!

What some cannot grasp is that even when he was not 100% on his game he was still the most exciting player in the Championship and he will excell in the Premier Some called him a showboating one trick pony despite never have seen him play apart from the tv highlights but to me this is like a new signing and something the Premier will sit up and take notice of his immense talent
