I can't believe what i've read today, with Fans who havn't got tickets for the Leeds game, some proclaiming that they are the true fans who have lost out to the glory hunters! What an insult to people who queued for hours outside the ground to try and get tickets, for the record I've been a Rangers fan for 24 years and had my season ticket when we were in administration with Holloway having to use a squad of Trialists but i won't then look down on any fan who for whatever reason (there are many reasons) may not be able to go to every match!!! We are all QPR at the end of the day.

Because the tickets went on sale to members and season ticket holders only, i would think that the 'glory hunters' didn't get a sniff, but instead , the tickets went to family and friends of members and season ticket holders. I do feel for the supporters who buy there tickets on general sale, who also go regularly, and those not so.

Think we should make it an OLD replica shirt day against dirty Leeds to prove them wrong.

I can empathize with "regular" fans who couldn't get tickets for Leeds, while those who had been long away, did manage to get tickets. (I don't think I'll be there, despite a very kind offer.)
But overall, the idea that some fans are better than others; that some are more equipped to comment on QPR developments. Well I don't think that goes beyond just a relatively small number.

I dont think I or any other QPR fan have ever experienced "Glory" following QPR. Its the word "Glory" that really gets my back up, I struggle to think of a more inappropriate word to describe following QPR, Jesus Christ its really got my goat. My first QPR match was the Milk Cup Final, oh yes, what a glorious day that was, I cried all the way home. Glory is winning The European Cup, not supporting QPR. "Glory Hunter" that word "Glory" that has ruined my day, what a stupid thing to say, whoever said it has ruined my day.

The glory hunter tag does irk me but then those sorts of fans did turn up during the early 90's as well, I remember one pillock behind me in upper loft who loved to slag off Rufus Brevett for the whole game - only because it was the only player he knew. The only plus of the relegation and our years of austerity was that I never saw him again.
Have seen a few more this year though but what the hell, there are worse things a person could be.

Think we should make it an OLD replica shirt day against dirty Leeds to prove them wrong. That is a great idea! Some of my mates who sit around me have also suggested that, when i was a kid i used to make my my mum buy me the shirts in bigger sizes, so all the Brooks Shirts, the Classic FM shirt, CSF and Compaq shirts fit me now My mum even stitched Premier League patches on my Classic FM shirt, that's the one i would probably wear for an old Shirt day, although my brother who is older gave me an Influence Holland Fly Klm shirt in long sleeves. As for the person who mentioned Glory Hunters, he's a nutter! He's now saying he would find it hilarious if Rangers got points deducted as all the Glory Hunters would still have to go to the Leeds game. Words fail me!

Ok, I have it. If we sell more than 18,500 we put the overlow in Earls Court, like Yom Kippur when not all the Jews cant fit in the synagogue. So a huge TV about 5000 seats, warm, (In February might be a preferred seat) serve drinks, good food, and charge something reasonable plus tax. If they steal my idea Ill split the fine with the board..

He says on WATRB he hasn't posted for years...and he won't post on dot.org because of past matters. As the expression... "Commeth the hour. Commeth the Man!"

I've got as far back as 1979/80 in size Large and always wear one to a match! A few times, since the early 90's, I bought two and and have kept one of them in their original packaging, unopened, for my kids.

is not the p word going to be glorious? Promotion, just say it! ;D Not in my view. When you look at a teams history and their focus on the 'glory years' it's when they have won a major trophy. Winning the Championship is an amazing achievement in it's own right and is certainly an honour which will go down on the QPR Honours list rightly, along with all our other achievements that belong there. However in my mind the Trophy you have to win in order to have an historical 'glory year' is either the Premiership Title, FA Cup, League Cup (or used to be and certainly was in 1967) or a European Trophy. I would also say that the mid-seventies could be considered as glory years, due to the breathtaking quality of football and players on the pitch at the time and the subsequent memories that those players have left with the supporters lucky enough to have seen them play. However, as amazing and brilliant as it is, especially considering where we were last season, promotion can be considered the start of the glory years, if we were to go on and win a major trophy next season or maybe the season after. I will always concede though that that is just my opinion on what constitutes as s a 'glory' and whilst thinking that certainly wouldn't argue against anyone else's opinion if they thought in the contrary, as in this case is subjective to each fan and we can all enjoy it and remember it as we please and naturally want to. I just don't think it qualifies in the historical sense.
