Hi Mac Took this lot to the cleaners yesterday with their terrible reporting/journalism. As you maybe aware we are unbeaten (at home) since we've had the girls on-board. Many fans including myself, wrote to the Metro. Dear (my name went here lol) Many thanks for your email. You and your fellow Palace fans have done a good job standing up for the Crystals and we like to give both sides of the story so ….. well, check tomorrow’s paper, Page 23. And good luck against Barnsley this weekend. All the best, Kenny Campbell (Editor) A public apology no less

Metro
Crystal Palace fans defend sexy cheerleaders as a 'good luck charm'
Crystal Palace fans have weighed in to defend the saucy cheerleaders blamed for their club’s poor performances.Crystal Palace supporters inundated Metro with praise for The Crystals – a US-style troupe who parade before home games – after they were criticised by some fans on Tuesday. They had been derided as ‘pole dancers on grass’ who distracted players before games but others said they brought ‘good luck’. ‘The Crystals add some much-needed vibrancy, glamour and pizzazz to the Selhurst match day and with us unbeaten [at home] since they started performing, they have become something of a good luck charm,’ said supporter Lt David Roberts of the Royal Navy. Even Palace fan and X Factor winner Steve Brookstein weighed in via Twitter to back the girls. The south London Championship team are just four points above the drop zone but, since the dancers started in December, Palace have been unbeaten at home and some fans want them to join the players on the road. Chris Kaczmarczyk said: ‘The reason for our poor league position is our away form where the girls don’t even appear!’ And ‘sheepy’ posted on the cpfc.org club forum: ‘After five years of mostly dross football I think the club should be commended for trying to address the fact that, when you go to football, it should be about as much of the match day experience as the match itself.’ Crystals captain Charlotte Duffy said the 14 scantily-clad dancers don’t even make eye contact with the players as they run on to the pitch at Selhurst Park. ‘We are nowhere near the team during the games,’ she added. And Cheerleader Amie Latter, 23, told BBC Radio 5 Live the girls were ‘distracting in a good way’ but only to the fans. A Palace spokesman said: ‘The cheerleaders simply provide the fans with some half-time and pre-match entertainment that the majority of our supporters enjoy.’ www.metro.co.uk/sport/859588-crystal-palace-fans-defend-sexy-cheerleaders-as-a-good-luck-charm

Yep read about them on soccernet.com on the week that was column. Good to look at but pity the comment, like other articles, didn't let small things like facts get in the way of a good story.

They worked again today, now seven points clear of Sheffield.
Let's hope we do them a favour on Monday.
Did Mahon play I wonder?
