Like most of you, yesterday I read with dismay that the Derby game had been moved to a Monday
For me this means another day of having to ask to leave work early (has always been allowed BUT ...). Also, for Saturday games I have the luxury of being able to visit my 90 year old father on the way to the Bush but cannot fit this in with midweek matches (or Sunday lunchtime).
I understand that this is the price we supporters have to pay for being at the top of the league. But what a price to pay if your team don't get promoted!
This is another reason why we must go up! I have read on many message boards that this will happen regularly in the Premier, but I believe we would have less disruption if promoted than we have had this season.
I would sugest that none of last seasons promoted clubs (Newcastle may be an exception) have been on television as much as us & certainly a lot less than they were last year. I also think this is a norm for promoted teams.
Therefore we need promotion so that I can get my social & domestic life back!
I also would like to be informed by Rangers what we will be charged for renewing our season tickets. I understand the argument that this can't be issued yet as they don't know what division we will in.
My answer to this is that in the Premier we would have four less home games. So unless match day prices will increase by over £10 (can you imagine paying £40 to sit in the Loft with no leg room?) surely the price of a season ticket should be not much different whatever division we play in?
