I have just looked at the match thread for today & was staggered to read the comment "Connolly has a lot to answer for"!
Matt had no option but to bring Holt down as he was completely through following a poor clearance from Paddy. Both Matt & Colin are adamant that we should have had a frree kick for handball by Holt. He did exactly the same for a Norwich goal against Ipswich & would appear to be rather good at it.
It never looked as if we would score but you cannot fault the effort that our ten put in & the late Norwich chances only came about because we were attacking & often had only two at the back.
Clarke is not upto a starting position but he offered a lot more today than Mackie did & Adel's passing was poor. His substitution possibly stopped him getting sent off. Also Walker was not upto his normal standard in the first half.
In the second half we defended like trojans & Faurlin was superb. Also Paddy excelled but would probably question himself with the goal.

I agree with most of that Terry. Kenny was at question but more than redeemed himslef with two top quality saves.
Thought we actually looked better with ten men and Dave could have nicked us at least a point. Equally we could have been done three or four.
I thought Connolly pulled out of the challenge but didn't see a handball but I did the previous one you referred to.
Sad to say and repeat, Clarke is shit, in my opinion.Ephraim must have been gutted.
Walker on his way out? May have had a bearing, who knows.

If you see it like that Terry that Connelly had to take him down or Holt was through perhaps i was harsh saying that and should have maybe worded it differently it wasnt meant to offend ,apologies if it did , but on the other hand if Holt goes through and scores we still have 11 players on the pitch ! Your right about defending like trojans agree but once that tackle was made it was inevitable what was to follow. Just my opinion could be wrong , my opinion is Clarke doesnt merit a place in the team so do you , you say he offered more than Mackie today maybe , but most games Mackies twice the player.

Thanks and nice to read all the comments. Again what still seems to be happening is that Tarbs can have
a fantastic match and set up four goals and a week later, doesnt do much gets frustrated and is taken off; I think this is going to happen for ewst of season in one form or tother and is going to be something to live with. But it makes the promotion effort more tricky.

Haven't been very impressed with Clarke to be honest. I don't think he warrants a starting place and is by no means a good subsitute either. Agyemang on the other hand, he seems to be a match changer when he comes off the bench. Not sure how he would fair if he was in the starting 11?
We'll bounce back Monday and then can let our hair down come Saturday.

Just got back from Norfolk and having read terry and cpr agree with them on most things. I have decided to erase today from the memory bank and look forward to Brizzle.
