The problem wasnt Sousa it's Mandarich, any manager needs time to adjust and Sousa should have been given the rest of the season.
We had the same problems at QPR with the revolving door manager circus, all it brought was instability. Leicester will spend this season fighting relegation.

Make that ERICKSON to be unveiled this weekend ! Re SKY. From Sousa going to a replacement in 2-3 days ! Deal must have been done while Sousa was employed ! Mandaric confirmed it on the league show, announcement at 11 today did he say? Got a sore head this morning! ;D

While I don't believe in flogging dead horses for the sake of it - I still believe that less than 10 games is the way to judge whether the coach is good enough or not. Still this is the same club that got rid of 2 coaches within 3 months and then sacked the other (Ian Holloway) at the end of the season.
I guess they learnt well from us - long may it continue as that as one less team to worry about.

Presume that means they must be willing to spend a few million: Pay off Sousa...Erikson wage...Erikson assistants? ...And then Erikson will want to sign some players (and not bargan basements)
For the critics of the way Sousa plays - Would think that Leicester would have chosen Sousa based on and known how and what he did at QPR and Swansea...

Derek Fazackerley has left Huddersfield to team up with SGE , he worked with him at Citeh and England. He'll do the work whilst Sven lauds it up!

I am surprised at this move and I do question Erickson's loyalty. Only recently he was pledging himself to Nott's County's "five year plan", only to give up after a year or so. He's a top manager no question and he will definitely get Leicester out of the bottom and I actually think now they will reach the play-offs. Erickson does have this magic to turn teams around.

BBC
Former boss Nigel Pearson explains Leicester City exit Pearson left Leicester to become Hull manager in June 2010 Former Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson has explained why he left the club to take over at Championship rivals Hull in June 2010. Pearson, speaking after his successor Paulo Sousa was sacked, with Sven-Goran Eriksson set to take over, was unhappy the club did not try hard to keep him. "They could have kept me, but they didn't," he told BBC Radio Leicester. "Leicester had an opportunity to deny any clubs that wanted to speak to me the opportunity, but they didn't." Pearson, who won promotion in his first season in charge at Leicester, will take his Hull side to the Walkers Stadium on 16 October - and has taken a swipe at the way he was treated at his old club. His successor Paulo Sousa, recruited from Swansea, was sacked by the Foxes on Friday after only nine league games in charge. Pearson said: "The irony of what's happened doesn't escape me. "I had a good time at Leicester, and I've heard one or two comments in the last 24 hours about my departure. "People can say what they want, but the bottom line is that I resigned, and my decision was based on the fact that if they wanted to keep me, if they'd shown any inclination to do that - then they could have done." At the time, Foxes chairman Milan Mandaric said they had "reluctantly" allowed Pearson to move on. But Pearson added: "When you're on holiday and you find out that the consortium that subsequently takes over [the club] has been shown round while you're the manager and you don't know anything about it, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out what's happening. "What I would say is that now I'm working for people who clearly want me to stay there and be their manager. "The jury may be out in terms of the fans at the moment, but I have a good working relationship with my superiors, which I certainly didn't with the chief executive at Leicester City." Pearson previously managed Carlisle and Southampton, and had spells on the coaching staff at Stoke, West Bromwich Albion and Newcastle. newsvote.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/l/leicester_city/9055151.stm

From England Manager to Notts County to Leicester? Why isn't a man of his pedigree coaching in Italy or Spain at a top club??

I doubt £10m in January will help much, they'll be down by then. Hopefully with Pompey too!

He'll be out of Leicester just in time to manage a team in the Asia Cup in January.
