As your First team? Nothing wrong with that, of course. As long as you've seen "The Light" (and many people of course have favourite/preferred second and third teams) Personally, I can say No. QPR were my first team. And through the highs and lows, that "QPR First" has never wavered

And as a follow up: How did people come to support QPR...At what age did they first support QPR...And were their parents (Grandparents) QPR Supporters? (If Not who, if any)

When I was five I stayed up late one night and saw MOTD and football for the first time. Liam Brady was destroying the Arsenal opposition and instantly I knew what my life was about so I turned to my brother-in-law and asked who my local team was (no point asking my dad, he would not of known!). That's the moment I became a QPR fan. Started going since I was seven, 38 now, and haven't looked back since (mainly because that would be depressing! WE ARE QPR.

You have to respect Arsenal, Chelsea and Man United fans who switch their allegiances to QPR. (Of course you have to hope that they switch back or switch again)

Luckily have always supported QPR.
It was a close thing though as my mum and dad are both Chelsea fans (Mum did have a brief flirtation with Fulham though, she used to always say when Jimmy Hill was on the telly how she saw him at her first live match.....) Thankfully my Grandad was an R and took me to my first game (The league cup final, he said he had to as we would probably never get to Wembley again.....)
Used to go with him after that up until he died in the mid 70's, then after that I have pretty much been an ever present apart from a few years when I lived overseas.
Have a few second teams (mostly based on places I have lived).
1860 Munchen : the local team much better than those Bayern buggers.
Perth Glory : Lived there for a while. £5 to watch a match.... ;D
TNS : lived there too......
Don't have a problem with fans who change teams, so long as they own up to it.
If you are now an R, then that is good enough for me just don't hide your past.

QPR fan for 35 years. In a previous life according to Colin Fry, I was apparently a Stockport County fan for 1 day but their fans called me a glory hunter and I gave up on football.

I follow Nurnberg FC or 'Der Club' when I'm in Germany. The supporters seem to have that same kinda black, depracating humour that Rangers fans have!

Unless I'm mistaken, my first game was The Milk Cup Final in 1986, as a seven year old seeing this team you had heard so many great things about from your Dad lose 3-0 to Oxford United of all teams meant that I flirted with Liverpool like most 7 year olds in 1986, this continued for maybe three years, then there was a brief flirtation with Crystal Palace around the time of the 1990 FA Cup Final, after that, aged around 12 or 13, I started realising that I was QPR, I knew I was QPR all along to be honest, & when I was old enough to go down there on my own, around 1992 / 1993 that was it, "Onwards & Upwards!" ever since. I still have a soft spot for Liverpool, which mainly takes the form of wanting them to beat Manchester United & do well in Europe, but I am QPR, as a kid you can flirt with other teams, I dont see anything wrong with that, wouldnt let my nipper wear a Man United shirt under any circumstances whatsoever. Never really has that "Connection" witth any other club apart from QPR, you can have a soft spot for various other teams, no probs IMO, but "The Connection" is stuff like how you feel when you get off the tube at White City, getting a copy of AKUTR's from Dave Thomas & reading it on the tube on the way back home, hearing Finney used the term "Binlid" lol on boards such as these, all of these things add together to make that connection that we all feel, but maybe cant quite articulate properly or put in to words the way we feel about our fantastic & unique football club. WE R QPR! ;D

Have been doing it for 40 odd years but still get that tingle up my spine every time..... Used to love meeting up with mates for aways games before getting on the football special. Lots of memories, just doesn't feel the same now days.....

Petey is a switch hitter! Sometimes he goes 1969. Sometimes he goes 1970. When he's really exuberant he might try a 1971! I've repeatedly said that's not the case. But hey who cares about facts!

Great feeling walking up those steps briskly & with a sense of urgency, its great that we all know exactly what that "White City" feeling is, even if we cant quite put it in to words.

And at least in the OLDE Days, buying the Evening Standard or Evening News with the classified results (or at least latest scores)

So Scargill, how long have you been a QPR fan? I can appreciate it if you choose not to answer this question as it's more QPR related which is the true point of this site but hey, humour me, How long?

And at least in the OLDE Days, buying the Evening Standard or Evening News with the classified results (or at least latest scores) Yes, picking up the Evening News on the way home from the match was great (or grabbing the Express and Star on the platform in the Midlands on the way home from Oop North). Of course this was before Sky ruined it all by moving games to Friday, Saturday evening or Sunday..... Don't do the White City thing anymore, as now I travel by bus, but still get that buzz walking up Loftus Road.....

Yeah just think, in Swindon, you could of supported a club that has struggled over the past decade, had to sell it's better players, never get much of a mention in the press and was once run by a chap called Bill Power. Wait a minute...............................

I started supporting QPR when a couple of mates asked me to come along to a game. I was 12 at the time and i loved every minute of it. Although we lost, i was hooked and Rangers have been stuck with me ever since...... Still, on the bright side, i got to be mates with Mr Nutta & Mr Nutta senior Just to add, before then i quite liked Liverpool but cant honestly say i was a fan.

Andy, i can categorically say that Scargill, HA9 etc has never supported Arsenal. The fact that hes been heard shouting from his house 'I love it up the a.r.s' does not mean he has ever supported arsenal.

Why is it that all these Johnny Come Latelys who seem intent on dragging this club down are all supporters of other teams. MYU, Pete and The Fat Ray Reardon are all converts to QPR. Really does make you wish they farked off to where they came from.

Bump...
Any other converts?
(Anyone know people who WERE QPR and who switched to someone else (say Chelsea or Fulham?)

I grew up in Sydney, in a Rugby League family. Soccer [football] in those days was hard to find. Whilst in High School, I represented the School in Rugby League and Cricket. After leaving school at age 15, I played Rugby League for a junior club until age 20.
I supported the St George RL team from about age 7. My uncle, now deceased is known as a RL great and was for a number of years Manager of St George RL Club, who held the world record of winning 11 consecutive titles.
With the start of TV in Australia, I started watching MOTD with Bryan Moore on a B&W 17 inch tele, and was taken by the play of QPR. I have now supported them for 38 years.
