No!
We should be alright but I cannot believe all the talk about next season when this one isn't over.
I posted this list of possible results the other day, and as you can see, we're a point ahead of my schedule, but remain vigilant! A draw instead of a win against Weds would leave us a point behind my schedule.
QPR v Derby 0-0 Preston v QPR, 3-2 QPR v Sheff Wed, 2-0 Leicester v QPR, 3-1 Crystal Palace v QPR, 1-1 QPR v Cardiff, 1-2 QPR v Watford, 1-1 Barnsley v QPR, 2-3 QPR v Newcastle 0-2 that would be 8 points, but not exactly comfortable. '''

I won't be thinking we're safe until we have 52 points at least.
Could and should have won on Saturday so could be looked at as 2 points dropped.

We SHOULD have won on Saturday, I really thought we'd get the winner in the 2nd half. The momentum was really with us. But, and it's a big but, we didn't win. And that could happen again. And again. And that COULD spell trouble. Don't think we'll go, but stranger things..... And this is the one and only Queens Park Rangers we're talking about!

Nope -we will probably need about 52 or 53 points to stay up - 55 points to be on the safe side.
I think the Posh & the Pilgrims are doomed but, although Palace are now paying the price for going into admin, I still think that final spot is up for grabs - and we are QPR so anything can happen.
The real scandal of course is the fact that we are talking about how much many points THAT QPR NEED to stay up. How in God's name did we get into that position? It should never have happened and it's about time all those defenders of Paladini & Briatore faced the ugly truth.

If we lost our last 7 games (including to Crystal Palace), I think we'd go down. I think 48 or 49 or 50 will be enough

Watford play Palace on Tuesday, good game for us whatever the result but a draw would be favoured.

I am confident we are not going down. But wouldn't bet my house on it. The only team we need to worry about are Palace. Plymouth and Peterboro are already down. So as long as we finish above Palace we are safe. We now have an 8 point difference. So I believe 1 win and a draw could be enough to see us safe. It would need Palace getting at least 4 wins from their last 7 games. Here are their fixtures:-
Watford v Crystal Palace Middlesbrough v Crystal Palace Crystal Palace v Preston Crystal Palace v QPR Derby v Crystal Palace Crystal Palace v West Brom Sheff Wed v Crystal Palace
They have 4 tough games there against the teams immediately above them. 2 of the other games are against West Brom amd Middlesborough. I cannot see them getting 12 points from 21.
So reasonably confident, we can look to next seasson in the championship.

if we beat palace then it'll be happy days and safety for us, could be a pretty electric atmosphere on the night.

Not 100% safe, but it would take a cock-up of cataclysmic proportions to go down.
Can't see that happening with NW in charge.

It would be a fascinating curtain raiser to our first season in the Champions League, which must be almost due, if it hasn't actually started (I don't really notice these things these days).

Taking one game at a time, Lestah have played poorly and a string of bad results. We generally have always been kind to these teams and will get them rolling. They need a win to stay with playoffs. The team will be up for Warnock at Selhurst and I see a result.
I think we will beat Watford at home. That should bring us close. My big surprise. We will beat Toon last day and stay up. Paladini
can then bid us farewell with his final speech. "Single handedly I kept us out of League One, and I hope you will remember that,
You wont have Gianni to kick around any more."

Just 5 points ahead now and right now it is not about games in hand but rather points in the bag.
Basically our season boils down to two matches - away at Palace and home at Watford. Both those games are classic 6 pointers - if we win both matches, or draw one & win 1 then we should be 95% safe. If we draw both, then our season will go down to the wire, although we might still be safe.
However if we lose both then I think you had better booking your trips for next season to towns like Colchester, Rochdale and other such exotic names.
And here is the kicker - when last did we win at Palace (because I reckon it goes back to the early 80's if not earlier) and when last did we beat Watford? Both those teams in recent years have had a habit of taking points away from us, so this trend needs to end if we want to stay in the CCC.
So in a nutshell no, we are not safe.
In fact we are anything but that at the moment - and with Plymouth winning last night and other bottom six teams picking up points we really blew it yesterday - over 10 shots at goal to their 1 and we still couldn't win.

24 teams in league. 6 leave. We are safe from going up. When we are mathematically safe to stay in the 18 keep level, I knew it all the time.
When we are relegated,,it was inevitable..
