How many people on this site saw ned zelic play? I think I saw him play for us at home against wimbeldon. Of course this could have been a dream! I think he only played 3 games for us! I dont want this thread turning into a I saw the sex pistols at brunel , I only want real sightings of the rare n.z! Wonder what he is doing now the useless t.wat?!

Not only did I see him 'play' I remember the tackle that injured him when he went off never to return again. Can't remember any of the goals in our 82 cup run or any of the games apart from the finals but I can remember Ned Zelic getting injured! What's up with that?

I didn't although I did see Hateley and was at Villa for his debut.
I don't b elieve Marky Mark as i am certain the egg was not a real person.
Even thoug he has apparently offered apologies to us.
Sorry antipodeans, we should never sign another Australian player.

I remember Clive Allen's goal against Palace in the QF and WBA in the SF. I also remember my dad saying, 'well out again' in SAR after the draw against Middlesborough and listening to the replay - dunno why I was allowed to stay up so late, Warren Neil, get in. I think I saw NZ play, but a wart on our club whom I've blotted from my mind. Egg my ar5e.

I very rarely missed a game back then so I would have seen him play. Don't remember anything about the games though.

Know the feeling well Zed. Funny that an Austrlian tosser who let us down is called NZ innit. An Australasian stitch up if you ask me.

Did you call Zelic an NZ? Nope, defiantely an Aussie. I've watched him a few seasons in the A league where he was "ok".
There is one Aussie I would most certainly recommend to QPR - Liam Reddy, he's an excellent goalkeeper that helped the Nix to 3rd place this last season. He looks to be going to Sydney next season (We signed him as a temp loan) even though the Nix would love him permanently.
trust me, this guy is Championship level and with the right coaching, could really excel.

Two players who could do well for QPR. Mark Viduka, who is out of contract, and a young forward with tons of potential,Chris Payne.[Sydney City] He is a real "hands on player" Wait for it, Wait for it.

Must have seen Ned play in the Hoops, as I don't think I missed a game while he was here. (Though Like Zed and CPR many games from way back then are simply a blur....)
Did get to see a couple of seasons of him playing for 1860 Munchen (the proper Munich team). Even had a couple of beers with him after he spotted the Hoops in the crowd.
Always remember that back then the current version of Microsoft Word would always try to auto correct "Ned Zelic" to "Net Zilch". Perhaps they knew something we didn't......

Thanks for the troll but according to the ref he could'nt even handle it intentionally if he tried.

Only stirring Lonegunmen, I knew you would bite. All in fun. Your kissing cousin. By the way how did Michael Clarke get on today? It would appear that he hasn't been affected by "withdrawal symptons"!! from Lara Bingle.

No offence taken, I expected something from you, just not sure what. Clarke, did AWESOME. I feel for the guy, he really is a talent isn't he? And he got a ton today. We'd all like bang her (Bingle) but that's his private life, I'm interested in the cricketer. I'm disappointed that the media and certain piss-heads in the crowd took up the cause.

saw him play away at southampton, you could see he had a good touch, but was pretty ineffective against the likes of francis benali!! I seem to remember that his knees were bad and he couldn't play on hard ground......what a waste of the Sir Les money.

The pain of being a QPR fan is hard enough without them bringing someone in from the far reaches of the world to torment us.
But I think he was better than Ugo Ukah.

I assume that when you'all refer to Sir Les that your referring to that great Aussie you poached to GB Sir Les Patterson.

Bradman, nah, he's well past it, he can't even make the first X1 for the Dunedoo CC.

Dunedoo, isn't that where the Kerrigans have their holiday home? ("The Castle" - possibly the best comedy every from Aussie followed by "Crocodile Dundee" and "They're a weird Mob")

Yeah, thats right. Many moons ago, my mates parents, owned the Dunedoo Hotel. Great little town in mid west NSW. Not far from the BlackStump. whereas Coffs Harbour, has the Big Banana and Goulburn has the Big Merino, Dunedoo has the Big Dunny. ;D
