Seriously though. Legs has been a little hit and miss in previous seasons but this season has been woeful. And has failed as a captain.

Not a lot of players who have shown great form this season

True. Perhaps because of a dearth of talent he has been shown up more? His passing is woeful. Then again most QPR players' are too. Do the players do anything but cry and have counselling at training?

Used to rate him, dont anymore.
Another one with completely the wrong mentality for the situation we are facing.
& as a sidenote If you could win an Oscar for sounding completely disinterested in media interviews he would win hands down.
Selling him & recieving a fee, probably around £500 k or "rewarding" him with a new three year contract, guess which one makes basic business & football sense, & guess which one we chose!
Just sums it all up.

I defended the club's decision to give Legs a renewed contract and was clearly in the minority on this site at the time. Since he signed the extension his form has disappeared. What little form he had before that is. I applauded the club for rewarding his loyalty and thought that his performances were in line with that of the rest of the team. Since then I expected him to relish the captains role and stand up and lead the team. Having to play alongside strangers week in week out in various different positions in a squad that doesn't seem to care obviously has not helped him but being handed the captains armband and a long contract showed our faith in him and in return he has let us down. I don't care if he doesn't play for us again this season, they are all as bad as each other and apart from one or two at the moment, don't deserve to wear the shirt.

The playing staff must be in complete turmoil, another 3 manager season, the club being laughed at in the media and an owner who thinks he knows what's right in about every circumstances....frankly anyone can see by watching the players that they've had the confidence sucked out of them....its very hard for me to blame players who were pissing over this division in October for the predicament we're in now.

The players are certainly culpable in the sackings of Magilton and Hart so they don't escape blame for being part of the turmoil themselves in my opinion.
On paper this squad is certainly top half and with the right acquisitions in the summer could have been top 6 at least.
I know the players feel let down by the club, seeing Routledge leave for Newcastle and not be replaced must of hurt, but as professionals being payed very good wages only Faurlin can say he has played with heart and pride all season out of the players who have remained uninjured.
Cook might be the spark to lift them out of this malaise but after moaning at the fans for booing and not responding with committed performances was a sign of contempt created by the divide between the players and the fans.
The board are of course ultimately responsible for the team, I lay the blame for the circus that is their club mainly at their feet, but the players are responsible for their actions and for what they have said to the press so in my eyes are accountable for our present run of form as well.

I'm not sure that any player has culpability for Magilton other than Buzz and he might rightly say that complaining about being allegedly headbutted is hardly an unreasonable response in the workplace. The allegation that Taarbt might be involved in the Hart issue is less clear and again only specifically attaches to him. I'm not saying that players shouldn't try as hard as they can but I've worked in enough dysfunctional workplaces to understand the dramatic impact of poor (in this case ridiculous) management. Nor are the players responsible for the rotating door policy of loanees who have walked in and then out of the club destabilising the playing squad, nor the failure to address positional weaknesses as fullback and striker, nor are they responsible for discipline. I think the preponderousness of blame rest squarely with the board.

Leigertwood in the right team with the right manager is one of the best in his position in the league. He breaks up play, makes a short pass and makes far more effort than so many around him. I don't think he has the class of Kevin Nolan but there aren't too many who do at this level.

im going to have to disagree legs has been doing well in a team that is failing plus going from cm to rb , cm to rb cant be good for him hence why sometimes caught out of position
and with regards to fittness someone more itk will prob back me up, legs is a fitness fanatic and benches weights like a body builder, he isnt the paceyst but never has been
takes the ball out of rb better and when been giving the arm band he has been giving it to stand in for injured captains rowlands and vice mahon

Could have got £500k for him, or we could have given him a new 3 year contract. Guess which one we chose ?!
