I am no big fan of NW and always disliked him with other clubs. However, I do feel very sad that he has been sacked. As others have said, he gave us such joy last season, that few of us could only have dreamed of. So, thank you so much Neil for the really great days, and I wish you well in the future.

I'm with Fernandes and the board on this but thank NW for doing a top job and getting us here--They are the ones breathing life into our future us with their hard cash and NW was a well paid employee with a handsome pay off no doubt. Back Fernandes as he is doing what he said he would do--investing in QPR and thats more important than any individual--lets just hope he draws breath and makes the correct next move

I'd say most don't think it'll help us at all from reading those posts? They hope we go down, I hope they go down...maybe we'll both go down!

I reckon (in other news) that basically confirms tarbs never playing for us again! No-one will put up with tarbs like warnock did lol. Shame though.

Unlike with his recent predecessors, I continue to respect Fernandes (and Bhatia) and believe they think what they're doing is best for QPR. That doesn't make any decisions necessarily "Right" - But as with the days of Bill Power when he raised ticket prices: As then, I believe they are trying to do the right thing. Needless to say: Paladini/Caliendo and Ecclestone/Briatore inspired rather less faith in me.
How sad. And I think this came a lot faster than many of thought...Just escalated last few days.

Ah I only read the first couple of posts where they said it was a bad thing for them, sorry Thats ok, at least SOME of their fans have a brain it would seem ;D They are worried it'll increase our chances of getting samba which is true, and they are happy as that will essentially confirm the relegation of blackburn. Hard to beleive swansea fans are so worried still really!

Fair comment qprdjb. Calmed down a bit now, Rangers get you like that. Dignified and measured statement by Phil Beard on SSN. Still think Neil deserved the season though. Time for us all to link arms and get behind the team methinks

How sad. And I think this came a lot faster than many of thought...Just escalated last few days. It had to really though didn't it? Its a gamble they had to take and very fast, I reckon the next guy will be in tomnorrow/tuesday, how else will they have enough time? it certainly won't be drawn out with the transfer window open and us in 17th position. I imagine they already had a good idea of someone lined up, whether that's huges time will tell!

Thinking rationally it will probably be the best move(in the short term), for the club. Circumstances seem to have conspired against Mr Warnock though, without knowing all the facts, it would seem that some of them are of his own making. A few more points as an earlier poster mentioned and this situation would probably not have occurred, Warnock having his season and drifting off into obscurity in the Cornish countryside. The change of ownership came at a very poor time for someone trying to weld a team at any level but god, this is the Premier and every result counts! If Mark Hughes is the new appointee, which he appears to be, then we will probably benefit from the short sharp shock treatment that the Welshman brings, but it's unlikely he will garner much adulation when it's his turn to depart. Anyway, Neil Warnock deserves his place in the 'Rangers Hall of Fame', I've enjoined his tenure at Loftus Road and if anyone ever see's him around in the future a couple of pints wouldn't be out of order.

Stupid decision the timing sucks how can anyone come in watch a squad of players in what amounts to 2 premiership games and strengthen a squad to keep us up? And people worried Warnock would waste the transfer funds!! I wish Neil Warnock all the best and feel terrible about how he has been treated by this club...... after all his target was 4th from bottom so had not actually failed and imho would not of done.

Sad news, but I think it is the best thing for the club. Neil understands that this is a results oriented business and he wasn't getting 'em.

Thank you Neil Warnock.
Winning promotion was wonderful but your biggest achivement was in avoiding relegation when you joined us.
I am not staggered, surprised, upset or pleased with this news. Thankfully the club would appear to have carried out his dismissal causing the minimum distress to Neil & hopefully to the Warnock family. I sincerely hope that there will be no haggling over the compensation package & that it is paid immediately or by the end of January at the latest.
I do feel though that if we were going to appoint a new manager that this is the right time to do so. It would only be fair to give him the chance of keeping us up having signed the players that he wanted.

The owners ain't fools as look at their success; of course before sacking NW they have his replacement lined up which is:

Well Terry you may be indifferent to the news, but i'm well and truly pissed off with this news, Mark Hughes how is he a better manager than NW? he strikes me as the type that if things are going well and another offer comes along he will jump ship straight away, hopefully i'm wrong about that, in my time as a Rangers fan Terry Venables is my all time favourite manager(though he left, but it was barca) NW comes a very close second to Tel even more so than another favourite of mine GF, so thanks NW forever a legend down the bush.

I just see on SSN Zola is 5/4 second favourite, FFS no way replace NW with Zola, what the f**k would that be all about, Imagine it playing them down the road, and having to listen to the Zola Chelsea love in, no f**cking way we can have that.

Managers come and go. That's no surprise. But I am genuinely surprised and gutted that Warnock was sacked. I know results have been poor recently. But not all the performances have been poor. For all those who wanted to see him go. Be careful what you wished for. Mark Hughes isn't a name that impresses and there is no guarantee that a new manager coming in will do any better than what NW did.
Neil thank you for the good times. You performed miracles for us. Even if we get relegated this season, I will always be grateful for what you have done for us.

I can't help but feel that sacking Neil Warnock was a bad move. An overly hasty act. Warnock brought a level of managerial stability to our club that was sorely lacking in the years prior to his appointment. He played a huge role in creating a stable platform from which the club could strengthen on the pitch over time. All newly promoted clubs face a heightened prospect of relegation during their first season in the higher division, and if we do go down, who better is there than NW to take us straight back up again? Stability of ownership AND manager are key to the long-term success of any club; and good managers learn from their mistakes and improve over time. It is easy to forget that Warnock was starved of funds to strengthen the squad until the very last moment, over the Summer. By the time money was made available, his first choices had gone elsewhere and the window was closing. This season was never going to be easy. And he has been let down on numerous occasions by his players' poor performance. Warnock was great for QPR and our loss is undoubtedly another team's gain. Frankly, I don't relish the prospect of Mark Hughes taking over.
