QPR Official Statement CLUB ANNOUNCEMENT Posted on: Wed 11 May 2011 Regrettably, the Club can confirm that, for a number of reasons, we will not be holding an end of season parade following our promotion to the Premier League. We know this will be a huge disappointment to our fans who have been fantastic this season and everyone at the Club shares this view. The Club had held discussions about putting such a celebration on going back over a number of weeks but, unfortunately, the on-going FA inquiry, coupled with other factors beyond our control, prevent this from happening. However, plans are already afoot for a pre-season celebration, once the players return to training in July. We will, of course, keep you - our supporters - updated with any developments in due course. www.qpr.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10373~2356978,00.html

I was very jealous of the Norwich fans during their parade last night - they only finished 2nd. In my eyes we need to have something.

Don't see why at minimum they couldn't have something at Loftus Road...
But I'm sure they tried their best. Maybe their best wasn't good enough!

Dissapointed to say the least, pre season is a poor second best, but better than nothing I suppose.

Perhaps Paddy Kenny's having a party

I thought this sounded cool... but by July the team will be much different. Many of the players that got us where we are will no longer be with us. You're telling me that the same part of the club arranges parades that defends FA tribunals? I'm worried.

Guess you need to rent a hall? Rent a Bus? Get some kind of permit/permits?
And the deadline is before the players go off on holiday/move on to other clubs
We seemed to manage it after our Hillsbrough win

Meanswhile on the Hammersmith Council Site QPR joy Monday May 9, 2011 Queens Park Rangers’ promotion to football’s top flight means that Hammersmith & Fulham will be the only borough to be represented by three clubs in next season’s Premier League. H&F is one of the smallest borough’s in the country, but Rangers will now be doing battle alongside Chelsea and Fulham in the 2011-2012 competition. The council has calculated that Shepherds Bush businesses will benefit from a £700,000 a year cash windfall as a result of QPR’s promotion. Cllr Stephen Greenhalgh, H&F Council Leader, said: “I would like to congratulate everyone associated with Queens Park Rangers on their fantastic promotion. The team has played some magnificent football this season and are truly worthy of a place at football’s top table. Their promotion is a fantastic boost for Shepherds Bush and I wish the club and its fans the very best of luck for next season’s Premiership campaign. “This borough is only four-and-a-half miles and it is incredible to think that we shall be represented by three teams next season.” The Hoops were handed the Championship trophy on Saturday amongst euphoric scenes at Loftus Road after the FA decided not to dock the club points over the acquisition of midfielder Alejandro Faurlin. QPR’s promotion means that they will be swapping Doncaster, Sc**thorpe and Barnsley for Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool next season. Last month, H&F Council announced an agreement that will see local football clubs pay for match day traffic management - saving hard-pressed taxpayers more than £100,000 a year. £12million a year could be saved if the arrangement was replicated across the country. » Send us your comments now If you're that pleased for us where is our parade in the borough? Every other club in the land who is celebrating something is having one. Norwich had one last night for coming 2nd! Chelsea have had them in previous seasons. How much revenue are we going to bring to Shepherd's Bush? It's now our turn. Why is something not organised? The more I consider this decision, the more annoyed I get. Too true mate, I am f***** fuming. Funny that the club are blaming the whole thing on the FA decision considering that our chairman has been so vociferous that we had nothing to fear from them. I was lucky enough to be at Hillsborough and at the parade, So this whole thing really stinks. This has probably been our biggest season ever, but we don't even get a bloody parade. Someone over on that site you don't visit was claiming after the POTY do that we wouldn't have a parade as the club thought that we would have enough chance to celebrate with the Whatfor game, the POTY and the Lids game. What total B*****. Can anyone ever remember a team doing what we did and not having a parade? No, me neither. Enough from me, I am off to kick the cat (Not you Superckat).....

Just restating the QPR announcement DAILY MAIL QPR won't hold Championship victory parade due to 'factors beyond their control' By Sportsmail Reporter Last updated at 4:59 PM on 11th May 2011 QPR have announced they will not be holding a victory parade to celebrate winning the npower Championship title. The club have given no reason for the decision, other than to say it is partly down to 'factors beyond our control'. Party's over: QPR's on-pitch celebration will not be replicated with a parade However, Rangers revealed plans are already in place for a pre-season celebration when the players return to training in July. A club statement read: 'Regrettably, the club can confirm that, for a number of reasons, we will not be holding an end-of-season parade following our promotion to the Premier League. Pure delight: QPR fans will grace Premier League stadiums for the first time in 15 years 'We know this will be a huge disappointment to our fans, who have been fantastic this season, and everyone at the club shares this view. 'The club held discussions about putting on such a celebration a number of weeks ago but, unfortunately, the ongoing FA inquiry, coupled with other factors beyond our control, prevent this from happening.' www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1385990/QPR-wont-hold-Championship-victory-parade-factors-control.html?ito=feeds-newsxml

Would be interesting if the club would explain EXPLICITLY why anything had to do with the other. What and who were the obstacles? The Hammersmith Council? The Police? Couldn't Rent a Space? QPR Officials were too busy spinning? Were they surprised that we actually got promotion? How difficult can it be?

im gutted the only team in history not to have proper celebration for all there fans, there would have been a great turnout i had it all pictured in my mind a lovely spring evening thousands of happy people as neil and the boys go bye holding aloft the trophy, surely fan and people power must come in now, we shouldn't all just sit back and accept this, time to bombard the club with emails phone calls and letters i say i dont relent until they do, or shall we do what the english excell at getting walked all over and just sitting there taking it up the back pipe, i believe that if we keep on chipping away they will finally give in so lets start chipping as doing nothing just isn't acceptable.

I have e-mailed the club 3 times since last saturday requesting a parade, and we got todays message. I have now e-mailed them again today complaining and again suggested that they organise a parade from St Judes Institude in Queens Park to Loftus Road where all fans can celebrate. I also reminded the club that back in september in the Donny programme (on page 39) they said that later this season a plaque would be unveiled at Queens Park to honour our great clubs founders, and I have suggested that starting the parade there could co-inside with the unveiling. I am assuming that they have a plaque to unveil
Common everyone, get e-mailing to the club, if enough people complain we may get somewhere. I e-mailed them using the Feedback Form on the offy under Club.
Its not too late. (I hope). I have also posted this on WATRB
