I love the Guinness shirt, even got myself a retro this season instead of a fan dangled badge one. ;D

Have been trying to sort out the intense red in our new away strips. Actually it has that bright red color of arterial red. Also it is similar to bullfighters cape. Cant find any Italian red strips in serie a but the Spanish international strip is very red like our new one. Maybe its to get our players stirred up and looking for blood?

Well, I have to say the Holland Fly KLM one as it's the first replica kit I was ever bought. (I bought every one after that excluding the JD Sports one, which I hated.) But, for historical purposes, it has to be the Guinness one. Whilst working there you had to have career goals (some BS human resources program called P.rofit F.or G.rowth)....it was a program where line managers had to encourage and aid you to achieving those goals. One of mine was always "Convince the board to re-sponsor QPR", obviously never happened but as part of my P.F.G. I managed to have lunch with the MD to put forward my case.

My fave was the really shiny adidas kit. Long sleeve around 1980 I think? also the away shirt in my avatar with the ball logo.
Red and white halves/quarters were nice as well.
Oh and the white kit from Cardiff

I seem to have a memory of an away kit in the mid-late 70's which was red and black in quarters or halves - maybe i'm making it up as it was a long time ago - can anyone confirm if i'm right or wrong?

on 2nd thought, like that 1887 narrow horizontal stripe in green. We could use that for all our away games except Plymouth. Cant think, any other green home teams.

Well whatever Weavie wants weavie gets. the vertical red and black stripe I had madeup with my dads number on back and it was quite smart. You know many of these strips are unavailable the place in Gateshead makes them tho but not all.

Thanks Weavie. Your intentions are appreciated. Of course THIS messageboard IS "interactive" - offering links to other sites' posts of interest... After all, if there is an interesting post out there...But that's just my thinking

Agree with that sentiment, just don't see the significance of a football kit thread.

Thanks Weavie:
I would of course WELCOME "interactive" posts. In my case that would actually just mean "reciprocity" because I of course, already do the "interactive" bits.
But I of course can't speak for the actions of others: either individuals or other sites. I do know that at least a couple of people on the Indys site have said they won't visit this site because of my co-moderator (no not Macmoish; the other one!)
