Keith Sanderson
(1970/71)
Midfielder Keith signed from Goole Town at the start of the 1970/71 season.
After gaining his "blue" for football at Cambridge, Keith started his senior career at Harwich & Parkeston, a successful spell at Bath City and a summer in Toronto lead to a move to Plymouth Argyle, where he made his Football League debut in 1964/65. The following season he moved to QPR, where he made over 100 League appearances in 4 seasons, helping them win the Third Division title and the League Cup at Wembley. Remarkably, Keith was a part-timer throughout, holding down a job in the computer industry.

Sanderson played for Cambridge University under Malcolm Allison and followed him to Bath City in 1963. He linked up with his manager again when he moved to Argyle the following year and was a regular in the first-team throughout his only season at Home Park. Often criticised by fans, Allison maintained that his tremendous work-rate made him a crucial member of the side. However, when Allison left the club Sanderson was sold to Queens Park Rangers. He made over 100 appearances in four years with The Hoops and helped them win both the Third Division Championship and the League Cup in 1967. He went on to play for Goole Town.
