Coca Cola's deal with League ends Coca Cola may keep some relationship with the Football League The Football League and Coca Cola have decided not to extend their sponsorship deal beyond the end of the current 2009/10 season. Coca Cola began its partnership with the Football League in 2004 and signed a three-year extension in 2007. A joint statement said they were holding talks about continuing some sort of commercial relationship. The League said it was "in discussions with a number of companies about the title sponsorship opportunity". Cup sponsor? "Coca Cola Great Britain continues to invest in football at all levels and is one of the game's biggest supporters on both a domestic and international level," the statement said. Coca Cola's other football sponsorships include Wayne Rooney, Wembley Stadium, the FIFA World Cup, the UEFA European Championships. There is now speculation it may move to become the main sponsor of the FA Cup. The Football Association is currently looking for a new title sponsor for the famous trophy after power giant E.On said last month it was ending its sponsorship deal with the FA Cup at the end of the season. news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/8282962.stm
