zranger you wrote
about not being around Loftus Road before
yet, you are regular on a posters board, that hasn't been since 1969.
zranger, I don't know you and I'm only taking your word for it, that you actually go or went to QPR in your younger days
I'm not so sure you are a regular down at Loftus Road, because I have never met you in my life.
Good to know you know personally the 13,000 regulars, you must be every popular.

You know you said there were twelve anti-Paladini threads started last weekend. Could you please tell me what they were.
Paladini is the Sporting Director. We've signed a lot of players that weren't very good. Or cost a lot of money... As I say, forget what he did or did not do as Chairman. He's being judged on what he does as Sporting Director.
Again the Straw Man Argument: I think people here (and on every board) were extremely happy, and positive and optimistic after yesterday's win. I know you noted on your own board, that people post less after a victory. Well you'd have to ask them. I don't think that's the case on this site.
It occurs to me that if Briatore does leave, that might put Paladini's position at the club once more in question.

"Clutching straws", spring to mind.
If you don't want to talk about what GP did before, then no need to post archive stuff. We lived through it, don't think we need reminding.
QPRreport, I really hope that we get into the play offs this season, I really do.
Not only for the good of the club, but people like you will have very little to say.

Oh Yes, I really don't want the playoffs. And G-d forbid we should win the playoffs and be promoted. G-d I'd hate that I've supported QPR for over 40 years. Through many years of Thin. And yes many years of being away from England. And not seeing games. But caring, DEEPLY about how QPR do. Some might say: A true QPR supporter cares most about the club and it's soul.

QBP is a fundamentalist, it his way or highway. So an attack on one member of club staff is just an opinion but on another is heresy, an archive by Report is not letting go but continual threads about Swansea isn't. In the end his arguments lack consistency and merit. Yes there is a strong anti GP sentiment on this board but so is there on WATRB & the dotorg, that is because it is patently obvious that he is poor at his job.
And for the avoidance of doubt I hope and wish we are promoted and have a season ticket so see us plenty.

If you know all 13,000 plus QPR fans that turn up on a Saturday, then thats great.
QPR-report.. You've not answered the question.
You claim to be so obssessed and passionate about QPR, what did the game sound like to you yesterday?
How did Simpson come across in the commentary?

Funny but I always thought Chelsea Supporters loved listening to their own voices. Really thats besides the point.
I think a lot of season ticket holders at the club should be the ones giving out the awards to GP for his '' loyalty, service & tremendous achievements '', he's easily chairman of the year, indeed, it's possible that Gp's Signing's should be viewed at the same level of Holloway's maveric motivational PR methods etc.
Anyway, Pete: Why do you feel that thanking GP for ' hiring a loan player' is worthy of praise ?

I've been going to Rangers since 1963 and know very few fans, only my mates plus those I have got to know in various boozers, away trips, plus those around me in JU. Nobody on this planet knows 13,000 Rangers fans.
I don't even like sitting in SA road stand, just doesn't feel right for me.

If he scores 2 goals away to Cardiff, why should it not be praised for at least one game?

I mean we COULD go through all the players signed by Paladini ( a list, not complete was compiled on WATRB)..And the contracts and the wages. I'm happy to discuss that.
But it's a straw argument - it's actually more than that - to make it sound like people are unhappy with our win or with our goalscorer.

You do it, when a player doesn't perform as in the case of an Ageymang or Helguson. It just seems to the purists, that some kind of agenda is taking place. Give criticism, where its due, by the samr token give praise, when things go well. (you just cannot do it)
Supporters will then see you in a different light.

So when's the first criticism of Paladini coming? Or do we have to wait until he's gone and then we'll hear how you were always secretly critical, but was trying to reform from within?

Pete why haven't you started a thread for Acknowledging GP for breaking the transfer record & buying Faurlin ?
Maybe you could verify 1st with GP what currency QPR paid example : 3.5 mill Zimbabwe Dollars ? North Korean Won ? thanks

I doubt that Faurlin is 3.5 million, which sort of contradicts your argument.
When we win..its the manager
When we lose.. its who??
A simple answer would be good.

zranger, to be honest I really doubt if your a regular nowadays.
I'm not going search my attic for a picture of you in an old programme. Got better things to do with my time and to be honest, wouldn't know what you looked like, so it would be pointless.

I doubt that Faurlin is 3.5 million, which sort of contradicts your argument..... I'm sure he didn't cost 3.5 million - as the club tried to make it appear in its statement. I'm not sure how you depicted the signing in terms of cost, on WATRB. Of course I and others raised questions about how much he really cost. Somethng you would probably have considered "disloyal."

Not taking anything away from the ability of the player, obviously there is a big difference between paying nothing + paying wages (free's & loans) & paying a fortune (record club transfer) + wages.
In the point of this thread: free's + loan's are worthy of praise to GP - The Cheque Writer.
I suppose that's why Pete feels Gp's great for the club.

Just for the record
the word "great" was used by you, NOT ME
don't know why it is so difficult???
If it makes it slightly easier//
GP you should not have signed Agyemang on a 4 year deal?/ but great that you got in watson and Simpson
You just cannot do it?? Its very funny to watch and you claim I'm one-sided,
you have to laugh

Its very funny to watch and you claim I'm one-sided, you have to laugh Pete: I would imagine there are very few people in the world of QPR messageboards who have any doubt about where you stand. Or why you stand there. We've got two good players in on loan.. I think most people are glad to have them - and have said so. Even if Paladini screwed up last year in not signing Watson then. But what they've also said is we need more - especially up front. Something for the longest time you disputed. And for the record, it's not just one solitary bad signing by Paladini. And the other point I've made, is his inability to go down to the lower leagues and find and sign "unknown" players. Something that QPR used to be famed for. As for our youth system: How many players have developed in the past five years? (And yes that did precede Paladini) I reiterate: My views may be right or wrong. But I'm 100% QPR. AND 100% Independent.
