JACKSON SACKED BY LINCOLN Football League Posted on: 02.09.2009 Peter Jackson and his assistant Iffy Onuora have been sacked by Lincoln City after nearly two years at Sincil Bank. The Imps have struggled this season, winning two and losing five games so far, including a 1-0 defeat to Darlington in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy, last night. They currently sit just three points off the bottom three prompting the board to act. A statement on the official club website read: "Following the frustration of last season's poor home form which led to a drop in attendances, the Board have been disappointed with the poor start to this campaign and the early exit from two cup competitions. "It is with regret that the Board have made this decision as Peter and Iffy have worked hard to raise the profile of the Club in many ways, however the bottom line is the need for results. " First Team Coach Simon Clark and Head of Youth Tom Spall have been placed in temporary charge. www.football-league.co.uk/league2/news/jackson-sacked-by-lincoln-20090902_2248208_1785607
