Premier League: what happened to the original 13 foreigners?
Only 13 non-British players appeared on the opening day of the inaugural Premier League season in 1992-93.

1. John Jensen (Arsenal) – The Dane who took 98 games to score his first Arsenal goal is now coaching in his homeland.
2. Anders Limpar (Arsenal) – Swedish winger moved to Everton, where he became Wayne Rooney’s childhood hero. Now assistant coach at Swedish club Sollentuna United.
3. Robert Warzycha (Everton) – The Pole scored six goals in 72 appearances for Everton. Now coaching MLS outfit Columbus Crew.
4. Eric Cantona (Leeds United) – Left Elland Road for Manchester United in November 1992. Retired in 1997 and now an actor, recently appearing in the Ken Loach film, Looking for Eric.
5. Ronnie Rosenthal (Liverpool) – The Israeli played for Luton, Liverpool, Spurs and Watford. Works as a football consultant based in England.
6. Michel Vonk (Man City) – Dutch defender played for City, Oldham and Sheffield United before returning to Holland to play for MVV Maastricht.
7. Peter Schmeichel (Man United) – Danish goalkeeper played for Sporting Lisbon, Aston Villa and Manchester City after leaving United in 1999. Now a TV pundit in Denmark.
8. Andrei Kanchelskis (Man United) – Russian winger went on to join Everton and Manchester City. Now working for Russian club Krylia Sovetov.
9. Gunnar Halle (Oldham Ath) – The Norwegian defender moved on to Leeds and Bradford City before returning to Norway. Now head coach of Lyn Oslo.
10. Craig Forrest (Ipswich) – Canadian goalkeeper played 263 games before spells at Colchester, Chelsea and West Ham. Now a Fifa Ambassador for SOS Children’s Villages.
11. Roland Nilsson (Sheffield Wednesday) – Capped 116 times by Sweden, the defender is now managing Malmo. Managed Coventry City during 2001-02 campaign.
12. Hans Segers (Wimbledon) – Dutch goalkeeper was a coach at Tottenham during Martin Jol’s managerial reign.
13. Jan Stejskal (QPR) - The Czech goalkeeper made 107 appearances for the club. Now a coach at Sparta Prague.
