Helguson had ankle surgery in 2007. He played but would get leg and ankle problems and could not sustain his legs integrity with frequent injury recurrences and missed games. Finally over this last summer he was sent to Belgium for a second operation on same ankle. this season he was wrapped in cotton wooll by Megson who only played him sparingly or hardly. Now here he is this weekend at Watford where he was quite a favorite years ago, on loan to QPR. Since he did not pass the physical he must have residual limitation of motion of joint and or muscle strength isssues. We can only wish him the best of luck and if he does breakdown (g-d forbid) lets hope its after he scores the goal not just as he is about to shoot.
