not sure what to say about that, firstly Sunderland are a typical Mowbray team and complained about everything. Horrible team. Secondly, the most inept refereeing and linesman decisions ever seen, when we needed Begovic to keep to our own players it was either straight out or to Sunderland. Did we deserve to lose, yes but only because of one moment of madness, otherwise I thing we were were looking good. NOt sure who plays in midfield on Tuesday?

Familiar story I'm afraid. Lose against winless Swansea on Tuesday and the knives will be out....

"Fortress Loftus Road" - Nuff said. I dont think that is a fair statement, we were playing against a 15 man Sunderland team. One moment of madness cost us at a time when we were 1 up and looking the better team

We looked good for 20 minutes. Team was well set up, the players were up for it, tons of effort, good goal. I have not seen any replay of the red card, but it was on the halfway line, both teams snapping into the tackle, Colback's stretched tackle did not look any worse than much had gone before. So, I was surprised when the red was shown. To decide the issue, the ref called a meeting of all Sunderland players to get their detailed view, those that were not still rolling around on the floor, examined the injury and decided they were correct. Armstrong on the other hand frightened the life out of Sunderland, the ref gave him nothing all afternoon except a yellow card. Sunderland took to the floor every time he ran towards them, and he bought it every time. If in any doubt the Sunderland players on the pitch helped him with anything he was not sure about, complaining throughout. But we decided to sit deep with a back 5 once down to 10 men - Chair, Field and Dozzell across the middle, Armstrong somewhere close to Shepherds Bush Green. Armstrong won a large number of balls up to him, but the support was in a different borough by then. We were of course spoilt by Dieng's distribution, but dear me, how does a keeper of that experience plant most kicks into the stand? We had 8 minutes extra for the first half (and then again for the second period). Sunderland had not managed a shot on target and the team were beginning to believe - and a huge deflection off Cook for an own goal. Once the second goal went in, it was all over and by the end we were looking pretty ragged with Mowbray taking off defenders and replacing them with pacy forwards. Not too disheartened though, enough positives until it was 10 against 12.

Just to complete the incompetence, in injury time, Dozzell got involved in a scrap in their penalty area. The Sunderland player got hold of Dozzell by the throat, wrestled to the floor and then stamped on him. Another meeting of anyone who had a view and not even a card, with the Loft chanting 'off, off, off!' It would not have changed the outcome of the match at that stage, but just added to the shocking partisan performance of the officials.

Don't really see how we are a different team, look at the results. Performances might be slightly better, but it's a results business. I really hope we beat winless Swansea Tuesday. If not, that will be one win in 11 home games. That would result in the sack at any other club in the country. It's plain to see, confidence is being slowly but surely sucked out of the team. We need a win Tuesday, no ifs or buts.

When decisions are going against you, the other team is falling over and whinging about everything and a moment of madness takes you down to 10 and they got a lucky goal before half time, not one person gave up and no one looked like they were lacking confidence. 11 v 11 we would have won today. And the team is so different to last season. this team fights, this team play together, this team wants to win.

One moment of madness cost us at a time when we were 1 up and looking the better team Trouble, it seems to be like that at every home game - referee against us, unlucky, played really well until an incident. I can buy that for only so often, not every home game. We seem to be better "away" when the reality is, there should be more pressure than ever to get some form of result. At home with the loyal crowd backing the team, the team seem to let themselves down.

it was obvious from the off that Sunderland had targeted some of our players who they thought would cause them problems , Sinclair was fouled so many times nothing given yet their players rolling around with pretend injuries ref giving our players yellow cards , the ref and his officials were totally with Sunderland ,probably one of the most inept shambolic display of officiating that I have seen , that seems to be the case at home in our last few games refs on away teams side , it was like we were playing with eleven against twelve from the off then Jack got sent off it made ten against twelve I make no apologies whatsoever about my thoughts whatsoever I just hope we don't get Whitestone again , they should have ended up with ten on the pitch but no that wasn't going to happen ,I could not believe the way the red card was given when Sunderland players were involved in the decision shouting and gesticulating for red card , I find it mighty strange that having reffed over five hundred EFl games this ref has never given a red card yet now he does because of the influence of Sunderland players , and to add first goal was an own goal ,second goal was offside , I thought even at 2 1 down we still had a chance but the third goal was a killer , I would have like to have seen how it went with eleven v eleven not twelve v eleven , which became twelve v ten , According to Mowbray they would have still been us even without Jack's red card , all I can say to that is of course you can come out with a statement like that when you have a ref on your side , gave us absolutely nothing all game Sinclair got kicked off the park ,Sunderland were scared shiteless by him his pace and power 😂😂

Interesting to hear Mowbray's assessment of the sending off. He said it was the reaction of the players that told you it was a red. A preconceived plan? Have seen the offence since, Colback caught Bellingham on the back of the leg, it was 'orange' and the player rolling around and then the captain and squad demanding action. They had a plan to deal with Armstrong and to niggle him into retaliation, and the officials were complicit. unfair on the young talent. I guess when you cannot win at home, these things happen. It is a long time since we last saw red. In the context of what was going on, a straight red was harsh, especially his failure to take any action to anyone wearing pink and purple. We were mugged off. I did not see confidence being sucked out from the players either. More like they were totally shagged out having put in a shift and a half.

The game was lost at the very moment we were reduced to ten men.
You can't play a containment game(as is our style these days) with a player less on the pitch and some 80 minutes playing time remaining against a decent team like Sunderland and expect to survive. No chance!

No chance! I would agree with that to a certain extent, but you cant give the opposition 72% possession when you are at home. Especially in 30 deg heat. Ipswich had 68%. We need to keep possession far better. As the saying goes, if the opposition doesn't have the ball they can't score.
