Use do be that league tables wouldn't be published for the first month or two. Means nothing at this stage especially as the transfer window doesn't close for another week or so many teams will look different at the end of next week.

The tables are fairly meaningless giving the length of the season but I still like to see them - just gives the chance to see how teams and the league is shaping up without having to calculate or review every result. Interesting to have some fun and speculate looking at the table - if we beat Ipswich 3-0 next week we will overtake the team that's top of the league - maybe meaningless in the bigger picture (although 3 points in the bag is not) but in terms of player and fan confidence a potential big boost at the start of the season
