Dunne out long term

Ainsworth has confirmed that Dunne underwent a "procedure" which I assume means an operation on his shoulder and will be out for a period of time which to me implies long term.

Bad news and maybe the spur to get the Cook deal over the line.

Meanwhile hopes that JCS will be back sooner rather than later otherwise we are looking a bit short at the back again

They could just come out and give us a timeline so we know where we are and when to hopefully expect him back.

Not sure what all the secrecy is for? Do they think teams are going to rip up their game plans if they think Dunne will be in the lineup?

Agreed although from past experience of this type of injury I doubt they will know for a few weeks until the doctors have checked. They did not even say if the "procedure" was successful or what is was for. If it needed an operation it is probably more than a dislocated shoulder or collar bone, maybe a break, maybe ligament damage or both. 

Pure speculation on my part but from knowledge of shoulder injuries (and as we saw with Charlie Austin) these things can take a long time to heal and require some immobility as well so before being able to start to train. I do not expect to see him before January.
