Well a clean sheet for half a game. Something to be proud of This was a home game played in Watford? Only a clean sheet as Watford replaced there midfield and Begović saved us though

Watfords fans take in it generally like this one…… Most saying Begovic was out of this world, yet we lost 4 nil.

We fielded a reserve side?? Oh, that's right, we didn't get in any decent players. And I'm over FFP crap. Just pay the frigging fine and move forward. How much do we still owe on that anyway?? Charitable Donation, make it a Tax rightoff.

If anyone wants to listen to this drivel please do. No confidence in GA at all. All I see is more ridiculous defeats like Blackpool,Oxford,Watford etc…. Todays result could easily have been 7 or 8 now. I’m having a vacation from posting on the board and from games for a few weeks , hopefully will be a bit more positive after Ainsworth has gone, as just feel my posting is too negative at the minute. Enjoy the start of the season all. UR s

Is anyone actually surprised?. The team is weaker than last season. Ainsworth is clearly out of his depth and will be lucky to see the end of August. I have a feeling that no one with any quality will sign with him as a manager.

I have a feeling that no one with any quality will sign with him as a manager. -On Talk Sport the commentator called QPR an "absolute shambles" and poised the question what had QPR being doing all summer?! Others are calling our manager as looking like a 'Tramp' and he is just as deluded as being our manager as he is about being a rock star. Useless and clueless comes to mind, so my message to GA= 'On your bike you Loser!'

Maybe a haircut and tidy up might look a little more professional? At the moment it looks more like school yard styles and it reflects in the players attitudes and efforts. I gave that interview the first 22 seconds and off it went.

We played a left sided defender who had not played since March, at right centre back. We played a left centre back who was making his senior debut. We started with a winger who has missed pre-season. We have a squad of number 10s but chose to select Kelman who was playing in the 4th tier last season. We played two in midfield when Watford pack the midfield. One was Dozzell, the friendly ghost. We made substitutions in the 97th minute. Kakay was beaten in 36 seconds. Our keeper was the man of the match. We lost by 4 goals, it should have been more. Much of the above was unavoidable, but not all! It has to change and quickly.

Enjoy the start of the season all. UR s I think I will join you Harr. Despite everything else yesterday there are only 2 areas I will comment on and I know I am contradicting my comments yesterday when I called for fans to be patient. Firstly Ainsworth has already achieved his objective of turning us into a replica of Wycombe, we saw what that means and we know where that ends. So having achieved his objective he should move on today and let someone else try to sign a couple of people this window and get the players back to playing football. (Interesting photo of Fox pleading with other players to settle down and think.) Secondly why am I saying that Ainsworth should go now - having never called for a manager to go in my life? Easy on top of everything yesterday - After 97 minutes the manager made a couple of substitutions - what for? as he knows time will be added on for substitutions so it was not to run down the clock but actually to prolong the agony. But more importantly what did he do. Take off Dozell who should have been hooked at half time or better still not selected, Why sub him after 97 minutes? - so he could milk the applause for his great performance from the no longer present fans or to make sure he will be fit for the next game. Who did he bring on Willock who should have been on from the start. Why send on Willock who had spent a couple of hours on a cold bench and gets thrown on in the 97th minute, knowing he has had serious hamstring problems and the ideal way to get him to pull up injured again chasing a ball with no proper warm up. Or maybe he expected Willock to score 4 goals in a minute. All that says to me is that Ainsworth's brain( ) is now totally scrambled and his after match comments show that he has lost the plot totally. This was not his first game in charge, his record last season was no better, and he has had a whole pre-season to destroy any talent we had left in the team. No more excuses and stop talking the club down as relegation certainties who he will save.

I cannot believe what he said about players gave everything I think he must have been watching a different match than I was , i don't think Watford will have an easier match all season and an easy three points enough said

Now his latest comments are about how well the young players did and Gubbins had a cut eye - poor thing. Also Ainsworth says he learnt a lot yesterday - does not say what but heho - should have learnt he is out of his depth. Plus he says there were heated exchanges in the dressing room afterwards (not surprising) but he has to keep the players together. Stuff that if I was Willock I would have my transfer request ready for Monday morning - how can we play League 2 Kelman ahead of Willock then insult him why sending him on in the 97th minute. Must stop reading and writing now as my blood is starting to boil the more I read the c**p coming out of Ainsworths mouth

We are now seeing how our off field financial problems are severly impacting us on-field - with no Eze money nor anything similar likely in the next 2-3 years, we are left with a team where vast majority of players are really L1 standard bar 2-3. Whilst we can be more organised, and defend better, the truth is we lack sufficient quality in defence - these are not players under-performing but playing at a level that is a step too far. I fear that Ainsworth and his coaching team are massively underestimating what it takes to survive in the Championship - and their inexperience at this level is badly showing us up. We have some decent attacking players but are not playing to their strengths - although they are not as good as a lot of supporters think. We are now focusing on signing older players in free transfers that is short term because we are left with no other options. The team is broken, lacks steel and the promises Ainsworth gave at the end of last season about having more leaders has just not materialised, yet. There is imbalance in the back four with too many left footers, and the potential signing of Cook only adds to that problem. Where do we go from here?? Despite some good seasons with the promotion squads, we are where we were 20 years ago under the start of Holloway's first stint as manager, and I think the only way forward maybe to take the hit of relegation, rebuild and see where we go from there, much like the team Ainsworth played in. However, maybe some will surprise us (Duke-McKenna did well when he came on) and we get a win to improve the low confidence that has clearly stayed with the team over pre-season. Watford are a decent team but I don't think they will be in the running for automatic promotion, so we will have harder tests than yesterday.

The result and performance was a disaster. Mostly journeymen and mediocre players cut open like a knife through butter. We were fortunate that the score was not 6 or 7 nil. Also Ainsworth in his post match interview did not exactly cover himself in glory.
I will say though the the Club itself must take a minor share of the blame. This should have been a HOME GAME but because of the delay and procrastination regarding the work on the Loftus Rd pitch were were forced to reverse the fixture and play away instead.
At home at least there might have been a VERY SLIGHT chance of avoiding a loss but playing the match at Vicarage road meant certain defeat

The last accounts posted a £25m loss. We are not told how muych of that loss counts towards FFP cumulative losses of £39m over 3 years - but it is a huge number. It would seem that we bet everything on promotion that year, and probably then compounded it by backing Beale in the subsequent year - we will not know that figure until next May. With the Eze money dropping out of the cycle after 3 years, we are in the mire - we all know this. Beale took it on probably knowing he would walk if he did not secure promotion - hence his hasty exit. Critchley seemed shell shocked in every interview - perhaps he discovered too late. Even if we sacked Ainsworth quickly - the quality of successor. will be poor - but Ainsworth was either blinded by his desire for QPR, believed he could sign free agents, or is just nuts. But with every press interview, pre-season game, result, field selection - or financial analysis, we are screaming out that the financial side of the club is a complete mess. Please come and buy our best players in a fire sale. We cannot spend a penny until you do (because we cannot risk a second breech having already been fined a world record). Saturday's team demonstrated the depths we have sunk as a Championship Club. Bristol City wait and wait until they get the value they set for their stars. We watch Chair not touch the ball for 10 minutes and look hacked off as his value drops even further. We have rich owners who do not seem to be able to operate in a regulated financial framework. Does our Finance Director not deliver cash forecasts? Does our CEO poorly advise the shareholders? Did our Director of Football not plan for this third year at all? Ainsworth is trying to turn it around - probably in the only way he knows, but he publicly wrote off the first game. We were probably trying to replicate Burnley and in half a minute were rendered planless. I can only say, that in the corporate world that I lived in, all this would have been totally unacceptable. But then, I never had an owner prepared to write huge Chegues each month. The fact that our owner is looking for fresh investment suggests the penny has dropped. But what happened on Saturday comes down to bad planning on all fronts. Heads should roll accordingly. I sometimes wonder how our owner became so wealthy...

Heard from some Watford supporters today who went to Stevenage last night. Watford played their first team (apart from the keeper) and were totally outplayed by Stevenage. Basic message was that QPR were so bad on Saturday, we lured them into a false sense of security and that Watford are very average this season / underwhelming. One message finished with 'Don't want to worry you though...' I replied that it is early days!

One message finished with 'Don't want to worry you though...' I replied that it is early days! A walk football team would have beaten us on Saturday, we were that poor and uninvested in the game. Again, we have seen this time and time and time and time again with this group of players under every manager they’ve played for. There are a few more hammerings to come yet, so no point overreacting to this first one at this stage. It will improve but it will get worse first.
