Do we need investors or sponsors? Investor money would still be blocked from buying players or paying day to day costs because of FFP. But if we get a big sponsorship deal that would count as operating income so helps our FFP situation.
Maybe I am totally wrong or missing something - unless we want investors to build a new stadium.

having read it, its a bit of a nothing story. Could be the current shareholders trying to get someone to share the load or someone with a bit more expertise that can help with finding, building the new stadium, etc.

I don't think we need more "Expertise." But I can imagine owners want to get out/or curb their annual losses. It hasnt worked out as they planned/hoped. And Tony Fernandes the original main buyer (along with Merandum who already bailed) have got out of their investment

A bit worrying I think. The current owners don't seem particularly fixated on making a profit. New investors might well be.

A bit worrying I think. The current owners don't seem particularly fixated on making a profit. New investors might well be. The Bloomberg article quotes the clubs accounts for 2021/22 that reported a loss of 24million for the season . What can the owners do to turn that into a profit making situation?. Of course winning promotion would help but how do you get a squad to do that when FFP prevents the club from spending cash and wages on new players without incurring fines, transfer embargoes , or points deductions leading to relegation, regardless of how rich owners may be. We are still paying off the fine for last time we tried that. The owners are currently doing everything they can to cut costs, slim down the squad, not paying transfer fees etc to try to control losses while staying viable. I am sure they are not paying out and losing money every week for fun and would appreciate any realistic advice on how to correct the situation. How could new investors create a profit? Sponsorship? maybe but it would need a massive amount for little or no return, build a new ground and let the club use it for free? maybe but unlikely due to time and cost. Other answers on the back of a 10 pound note to be sent to Lee Hoos please. The worrying aspect would be if we ended up being owned by a new bunch of cowboys with little knowledge of football (again) and take the same path as Reading and numerous others including our early days under TF.
