Didn’t watch the game so won’t comment but G Ainsworths post match comments that included injuries killed this club last year was bullsh1t for me. It was the players attitude that stunk the house out for 6 months not the injuries. That’s just making excuses for them all. Every club gets some injuries through a season, you have to deal with it.
Reading in the week should be fun, with Wing playing against us…..

It was the players attitude that stunk the house out for 6 months not the injuries. That’s just making excuses for them all. Every club gets some injuries through a season, you have to deal with it. Reading in the week should be fun, with Wing playing against us….. A few quick points. On paper yesterdays starting line up is likely to be our line up for the Watford games unless there is some transfer movement, new injuries or Clarke-Slater makes a miracle appearance. Injuries did have a major impact on us last season - not the only problem of course but missing players like Willock Field Clarke-Slater and an endless list of others does have an impact including on morale. I do not think Ainsworth was talking bullsh*t or making excuses - look at the context of his comment he was purely pointing out that he wants to keep the players fit and would not risk someone like Smyth who has a small knock . Surprising to see some relatively naive comments from Ainsworth on WLS especially after going goalless after the third minute. Some even sounded the same as the last couple of season - great play it's just not finding the net moans. Ainsworth hails QPR’s ‘uncoachable’ attacking playersIlias Chair and Chris Willock looked sharp in Saturday’s friendly Gareth Ainsworth was encouraged by some of QPR’s attacking play in their pre-season friendly at AFC Wimbledon.Lyndon Dykes scored for Rangers in a 1-1 draw, with Ilias Chair, Chris Willock and Taylor Richards playing behind the Scotland striker. There is expected to be interest in Chair and possibly Willock in the final weeks of the transfer window. And both looked sharp during a first-half spell in which Rangers played some neat football.Boss Ainsworth said: “In the first half we played some really good stuff.“The attacking play was out of this world at times. It’s just that finishing touch – can we hit the target more?“If you were here watching somebody and potentially wanting to sign them then you’re going to put them on your target list because, going forward sometimes, they’re uncoachable they really are.“You put a structure in to get them the ball and then there’s areas they pop up in and they see passes and moves that I don’t see as a coach – and no coach sees.“It’s great to see that play and it’s great to see the fluidity they went forward with.“Having said that, my old-fashioned number nine scored a real poacher’s goal, which was great to see, and I want to get Lyndon more crosses in the box."Reads to me that he was knowingly or unknowingly talking the pair up for a transfer, admitting they are beyond his style or coaching ability and he still prefers at the old fashioned number nine approach. Sometimes it pays to stay a bit silent. Regardless how talented these two players are I am sure a decent coach can teach them more and build them into a team that gets the most out of their ability. Saying there are 2 different styles of play worries me that he will revert to wanting his old fashioned style and kill the talent of Chair and Willock. Lastly forget Wing, as it turns out we did not want him did not bid for him and he ended up back in League One. It's a pre-season friendly so off he plays brilliantly and scores a hatrick it means nothing and certainly not that we should have bought him. If he flops and does not do anything it does not prove we were right to ignore him. I am more interested to see how our players do, not someone who we did not try to sign. Although no doubt the Twitter warriors will be willing him to score so they can declare war on the club again.

We played some nice stuff in first half but let’s not forget the level of opposition. Minutes under their belts but squad depth massive concerns. Currently about 50% of the bench could include players from the 2nd half today and that will make it hard for us unless a few surprise us and step up. We desperately need a CB, CM, RB, in that order, for the first team alone and then maybe 1 or 2 more as loans before window ends. I still think there will be one more major out - Dykes, Chair, Field or Willock - so we can bring in those players but let’s see what next week brings. I expect us to go full strength for the Oxford game for at least 60-65 minutes as we need a plan for Watford. Let’s hope Sarr leaves before we play too.

Yeah I wasn’t bothered about Wing at all, we have to stick to our structure so if he didn’t like the contract offered so be it. Move on. The comments about the club being crippled by injury did annoy me.
Talk of a centre back from Stoke as well as Forino from Wycombe, so this should help our defence . We do need midfield and striker replacemts , probably need at least 5 bodies in minimum before end of window.

Our starting eleven is still pretty strong. Dozzell being the weak link, we need a stronger midfield presence alongside Field. He is certainly talking up the Chair and Willock exits - I agree. The club needs the Chair money - he is preparing the supporters - 'expecting bids'. LOL But the issue is the squad depth. One or two of the second-string look like they could come through this season. But we need greater depth. I guess that is the thinking behind Morgan Fox. I hope he is not a regular starter for all our sakes. Forino would be an encouraging signing. Jay Stansfield & Tim Iroegbunam would be two interesting loan signings - both likely to be loaned out and of interest to QPR. The loans could define us this season. Not too many - but some quality. If Chair and Willock depart, it will be a big hole. But we have several number 10s at the club: Bonner-Dixon, Duke-McKenzie, Richards, Pedder - or even Armstrong. if none of them can make the step up, or between them cover, then why are we keeping them on.

Not selling Chair and Willock - Probably getting far less than "worth" because clubs know we're desperate

I was hoping Reading give Dozell a trial with all the others they have.
