To be fair Dave MC at WLS said he wasn’t in our plans a day or two ago and if we wanted him we could have got him.
I’m not sure if WLS said he was going to join last week though ?
Too many itk on social media, thinking we have signed players when we are not truely interested or maybe where interested but after talking to him
maybe decided not for us.

Happens every window. Some joker on Twitter sets themselves up as an ITK and our fans believe everything they say. Dave Mac, is one I do trust because I’ve seen him in QPR press conferences and speaking to managers and other senior people at the club, so I know he has access to legitimate QPR people in order to print his stuff. He said we never made any offers to Wing, whereas others on social media are making all sorts of claims about deals we supposedly offered him that he rejected. As far as DM is concerned there was no offer from us for Wing to weigh up , so he never had to make a choice between us and Reading. However, these ITK’s on Twitter will say otherwise, which fans believe. Upshot of which is that this then this looks bad on the club and causes more restlessness and anger from the fan base, adding more vitriol to an already toxic atmosphere. |

Luckily I do not have Twitter so do not see much of this stuff unless it is reposted on here.
Personally I follow the rumours as a matter of interest but live by the fact nothing is done until it is announced on the Offie.
The only thing that I am finding a bit confusing is that I see comments above that Dave Mac said a day or two ago that Wing was not in our plans but the only mention on the WLS website still says quote
"Lewis Wing, who also played under Ainsworth at Wycombe, is out of contract and currently an option if QPR decide to go ahead with the signing.
that deal might well go through at some stage. In the meantime, other targets are being pursued." Not what I would call saying he is not in our plans especially as prior comments were made that we would be announcing the double signing of Wing and Bergovic once the Austrian tour was over.
Maybe WLS post more on Twitter than they put on their website but I would not take that web post as saying he was not in our plans.
Anyway I have no problems with us not trying to sign someone who I think would be a fringe player at best and we have more important roles to fill. The fact he has gone to League One Reading does not make the club look bad imo but more that it Is getting it's priorities right and only going for players we need at this level while the ITK targets ending up at League One or lower show that the ITK's are not ITK's
The WLS website is still running the story that we are trying to agree a deal to sign Forino but that seems to be dragging with no new news coming through, so we will see what happens.
