4 away games, none at home. Perhaps the club could get a game against Celtic again??

Well they leave for Austria tomorrow. Will be more interesting to see who doesn't travel than who does go. Presumably Dieng and Willock will not be going, but will Chair be there? Is Kakay fit to travel, or do we only have Drewe for RB?

Seems we were a bit too friendly but with the line ups in each half no surprise with the result. Never heard of some of the development squad who played but that's the only way to test them out against stronger competition. I never pay much attention to pre-season results as they are more about fitness and trying things /players out.
Maybe we have a couple of injuries already as well with Kakay Armstrong and Balogun not even getting on the pitch although they are expected to play next Saturday

That was as bad as ever yesterday at Oxford. Ainsworth seems mentally gone. He is clearly expecting a hiding at Watford and is pleading for patience. But the changes we were promised for the Summer have not materialised and we started with players who were all here last season and phoned it in again. Branagan giving a master class on what it is to play in midfield. A couple have left without real replacements. I thought last season that if we could only avoid the drop we could rebuild. But now before a ball has been kicked in the league, it is looking like we could have saved a year through relegation and rebuilding in the third tier over time. Club on the lookout for new investors - they know they are powerless, but it is pretty bleak. My positivity drained out of me yesterday as so many players let the travelling support down again. Two centre halfs who have never started a competitive senior game. A right back who could not tackle. Willock and Chair spectators and on opposite side of the pitch. Dozzell in a broken dream. Even Dykes stopped running. Richards hopeless. Only Field emerged with credit - as per usual. Good job that I will not be at Watford next weekend after all.

This is the most dour pre season reporting I have ever seen. Would someone(s) explain who or whom is responsible for what seems to be like Raise the Whie Flag. We surrender.
