I’m guessing if we had to raise £2m we could just about scrape it together without FFP transgressions.
The whole FFP situation is horrible. We’ve said it many times I know but it is the most bare faced attempt to keep rich clubs rich and the other clubs suppressed.

But Beyond FFP....The spending etc
On the one hand; the big clubs have lots of money (and owners get lots of money)
On the other hand...You'd have clubs loosing multi millions a year - US
And then there's the parachute money insane in itself

Clubs should be solvent, no doubt about it. The problem with FFP is it denies the dream of a small club getting bought by a wealthy owner and getting to the promised land….and staying there.
Why not adjust the rules that if an owner decides to financially over commit, the liability remains with them and the club is protected from being burdened with the consequences. It would be no more difficult to police than the current regulations.
It’s either that or FFP needs to be applied to the Premiership as well.
Of course, the premiership never will. It’s a gang of rich people who ruined football.

The frustration for QPR fans is that we have some of the wealthiest owners who are not allowed to spend their wealth, on the club they own. It would be very simple to establish a surety scheme to safeguard clubs, but instead we have a crude, blunt instrument that favours the bigger clubs, and that permeates through all the leagues. In theory, about 16 clubs in the Championship, still retain hopes of promotion this season. However, what are the odds of the top six ending up: Burnley, Sheffield United, Watford, Norwich, WBA and Middlesbrough? The teams with the parachute money and the bigger arenas can play poorly for large parts of the season, but still use their cash and bigger squads to march on through the latter stages. It is tough to look at teams like Brighton, Brentford etc and not feel envious. But without a bigger stadium and higher revenues, we are where we are - and the bigger clubs get bigger. What odds on the bottom three ending up as Wigan, Blackpool and Rotherham?

I think Rotherham might have just enough to avoid this year and someone else join Blackpool and Wigan. They’ve got a bloke called Connor Washington who is banging them in Let’s hope not us

Have and have nots may also include good management etc and the running of a club; for example, we have 3 West London rivals in Fulham, Brantford and Chelsea currently lying 6th, 8th and 10th respectively in the Premiership. Our club is effectively in "the second tier", or Championship which is another fancy name for 2nd Division.
Ask yourself who really is responsible for our position in the middle of a second-rate league?

Our club is effectively in "the second tier", or Championship which is another fancy name for 2nd Division. Ask yourself who really is responsible for our position in the middle of a second-rate league? Tony Fernandes saved us from extinction, got us into the top tier and behaved stupidly and irresponsibly, causing the near destruction of our club, once again. However, if it were not for the generosity of our owners today, the club would go out of business. The reason we are in this mess is because pretty crazy regulations exist, and our owners thought they could ignore them, but were wrong, and so were duly punished. Those same regulations have since been revised, we are better run now than back when - but we and they are well and truly stuck. If you look back though our owners, and I came in on Jim Gregory, we have had more than our share of basket cases. Makes you think that if our owners did ever find a willing buyer, they would have to be another basket case to contemplate getting involved. Bulstrode, Thompson, Wright, Paladini, Briatorre, Ecclestone, Fernandes.....what grim reading....

Since football was invented by Sky in 1992, it's been a 30 downward spiral that reflects everything that is wrong with football.

The one good thing I am seeing - especially via Facelessbook following the "Oldham Groundhopper", is that Non League football is more popular as ever as fans are abandoning the EPL and looking back at ground roots and passionate football. I read from fans of many other clubs and their comments are consistent and quite heart warming. I appreciate I shouldn't be endorsing another site but if you search facelessbook and check out this guy, he's brilliant & positive. He's so far been to 282 football ground around England, Scotland & Wales. A very positive fella.
