1 down already, we can defend for toffee any more Can’t score either. Just relegation form right now, would struggle to beat a National Championship team let alone an EFL Championship one. Beale should have gone to Wolves after all, he might have got somewhere with them.

Has to be said we are a shocking team at the minute 75 minutes to get a shot on target after MB was so peeved after the last performance, no improvement after Huddersfield at all Where are all our big players , missing in the last few games. Willock and Chair not so consistent after all. This break comes as a saviour to us at the minute I reckon a few more games we would be in bottom half of table for sure, seem totally devoid of ideas at the minute. To make there goalkeeper make just a single save says it all.
This team finished for the World Cup break on 28th October, dreadful last five games. One goal in five, one point in five. No energy, no will to win, never look like scoring a goal, looked like a bottom three since 28th Oct.

Diabolical crap, nothing more to add. Succinct, and sadly accurate.

I said after watching WBA we were limping along to the break, I think it was a justified comment after what we have seen this week. We deserved nothing from the Birmingham , WBA , Huddersfield and Coventry games, exactly what we got. I really hoped MB might have managed to draw a response from the team after the WBA and Huddersfield games but sadly no improvement at all today, one shot at goal. A fortnight ago I thought the break would come when we didn’t really want it. How wrong. Just pleased the break came now, a big relief to try and regroup.
Funny since the MB link to Wolves , we have been a shadow of what we were before.

The players themselves need to accept some responsibility.

We were riding the crest of a wave. We have needed a decent striker for a long long time now. We will finish mid table and Dickie looks a liability and I never thought I would ever say that.

I watched the after match interview. It was the first time I have not agreed with MB. There is no way on the earth we deserved anything from that March, he had rose tinted specs on. Also said the group of players had given everything up to the break , disagree with that statement. Also said we perform best when when we have our strongest 11, not being funny but every 24 teams do.
It was a poor post match talk for me, I know it’s not easy but be truthful we were dreadful yesterday say it as it is.

Not sure how Sunderland v Millwall is going ahead 3/12 but a Sunderland 3-0 win would take us to 6th They get a shorter break than us as well

Not sure how Sunderland v Millwall is going ahead 3/12 but a Sunderland 3-0 win would take us to 6th They get a shorter break than us as well As far as I can see neither side will have any players missing at the World Cup and they both have played one game less than the majority of the division so playing then lets them catch up. I thought as it is a 12-30 kick-off Sky might be involved as well but it is not on their schedule. - Probably an early kick-off to avoid a clash with the 2 World Cup games later in the day. I noticed our next game against Burnley is a 1-00pm kick off on the Sunday (live on Sky - the triple curse) so there is no way we will be in the top 6 by the time we start that game with most other teams playing on Saturday. Always hoping for Millwall to lose but really the result is not so important yet. Looking at the way the table has bunched up again and the unpredictable results basically any team in the division can still make the play-offs - and most can still end up in a relegation place. Burnley at home then Preston and Cardiff away before Luton at home are not the easiest way to restart after the break up to the end of year so we need to be firing on all cylinders or we will be well down in the bottom half by December 31st. But as we seem to do better against the tougher teams and give it away against those at the bottom we could end the year with 4 wins in a row and be comfortable. My hunch - watch WBA under their new manager - already 3 wins in a row and I can see them climbing from bottom to a play off place by end of season Funny old game. Going back to sleep now
