I do not think this will alter Robins situation either way. If he was interested and we want him it might be an extra push but all the indications are that is not the case. In fact this would likely mean Coventry asking for big compensation as they may need extra cash.
The real question is why is Mike Ashley giving them eviction notice just 2 weeks after buying the ground. Surely not to build a sports warehouse.
Simple answer could be he wants more rent as he says he does not have to abide with the previous agreement between the club and the previous ground owners.
However some Coventry fan groups have the theory that as he also wants to buy the club, but is not making progress to buy from the new club owners, it's down to a bit of blackmail - sell a majority shareholding in the club to me or you will not have a ground to play in.
It will probably all get sorted before their next home game - if not I expect it will all turn very nasty.
