Funny though....
Starts without a striker - imagine the reaction if we had lost - but no, we were well on top - even scored from a set piece with defenders causing problems.
Sanderson was playing well and I like him - watching live, I could not comprehend what had happened and initially thought the red card was for the Blackpool crude tackle.
I went from home and hosed to thinking that 50 minutes was probably too much for 10 men.
We went deep but with some tremendous midfield shifts - Field superb again and Hendrick covering so much ground.
Crazy substitutions - taking Willock off instead of Chair or a midfielder. Bringing on Ball really?
Thomas rather than Gray - was he having a laugh?
A day when it all worked though and Warburton was a master tactician, our saviour, messiah, pure genius!
Had Blackpool scored a lucky second, can you imaging the booing at the end? Warburton's days numbered for crazy decisions.
But instead, one of the great nights under the lights at QPR, the fans fantastic throughout, scenes at the end out of this world.
Have to say it after a glorious night..... fine margins.
Happy birthday Luke Amos!
Difficult decisions but Warbs got them right - he took the risk and if it had not worked out he would cop the blame - that goes with the job.
Then of course we have the "never play Field and Hendrick in the same team" moaners after seeing less than a game of them together - anyone changed their minds yet? Hendrick needed game time after being frozen out at Toon.
If Blackpool had scored a lucky second - yeah but they did not and we kept fighting to the end and won it. Hopefully that will bring back the confidence and be the end of our bad run.
Had to be Bowler to get their goal !
Thomas instead of Gray - is Gray fully fit (is he ever?) No point having an isolated striker on when we know we can score goals from all over the pitch.
Expect some changes on Saturday. Dickie definitely back but he needs to avoid too many yellows in the next 6 games or he will be out for 3 of our run in games. Johansen likely will be out for 2 games very soon but we have cover.
If we draw or lose at Blackburn we may drop a place or 2 - that's the game and still a long way to go but the nay sayers will be out.
Hate Sky and lunch time kick off at Blackburn but what can we fans do? Look on the bright side - if we win we will be in the top 2 for a few hours at least and maybe even longer as Bournemouth have a tough one with Stoke. Lots of 6 pointers coming up right across the championship.
Just need Fulham to implode and us to stuff them to make things more interesting. Fasten seat belts and enjoy it. Goal difference will probably decide the top 6 and at the moment there is nothing in it .
