Hope you all (and of course) QPR have a wonderful and healthy 2022. Maybe 2022 will be the year of the QPR Report Messageboard Comeback

Yes Happy New Year everyone, may you all stay well and healthy and free from Covid and let’s hope QPR can continue with our current points average which would take us to the mid 70 points.

Happy new year indeed....
....and as the new saying goes, if you have to get Covid, "May you get Covid at a time convenient to you!".

I second that and exactly half way through the season we have 38 points. Double that and we get 76. Last season 70 points got a play-off place......... I may have just put the kiss of death on our chances

Hopefully in 2022, more of the viewers of this board will become posting members adding to the debate. It seems that plenty view, but I know that sometimes when I post it feels like posting into a black hole - or perhaps I am just spouting rubbish and fellow members are just too polite to tell me! I have a feeling that January is going to be quite defining. It seems that Palmer and Cook are on the way in and the heat for Dickie's departure turning up. With the Africas Cup of Nations as well - could be a wind of change. I hope for the positive.

With the Africas Cup of Nations as well - could be a wind of change. I hope for the positive. Don't worry Ricky - you are not spouting rubbish and I read all your posts. Trouble is they are usually spot on and nothing much I could add but to say "I Agree". Still I know what you mean about feeling like posting into a black hole sometimes - I even thought of opening a second account so I could reply to myself. Pity we lost so many good posters over issues that were nothing to do with football - I joined them but came back. I'm sure some still read the board so I would extend the Happy New Year Wishes to those who departed as well as board members and anyone else who views the board. On the football side I agree that January is going to be a defining period in our season (I seem to say that every month!) but with the Window open and AFCON, this month does feel vital. At least if we believe the press it looks like we are doing our transfer business early. If we get a couple in in the first few days at least they will have some time to settle in and turn out in the Cup before we hit the key games ahead.

So Forest are in with a late offer to try to grab Cook from under our noses. Typical but if he goes for the money on one hand I cannot blame him looking for a last pay day but on the other hand says he may not be our sort. No doubt Forest can offer him more cash and maybe a fee to Bournemouth but I question where they will be with FFP if their seeming gamble to reach the PL does not work. They have a large squad and they already signed another striker yesterday from Villa so their wage bill must be mounting.
Interesting that Sky reported us being very close to a deal with Bristol City for Palmer and then pulled the story an hour later. Maybe they were asked to by us to stop another deal being lost.
Time will tell.
