No Chair. Amos starts as do Adomah and Wallace. Austin comes in for Dykes.
Only 4 outfield players on the bench!

Well what a time to get an equaliser totally outplayed and score a pen , we should really come out into 2nd half on a high.

Somehow got the three points with playing very little football - and against ten men for most of the second half!

Happy with the result, but for long periods and even when they went down to 10 men, City were the better team.
Much needed win, though, and nice to get them back for the smash and grab raid they did to us at The KPF earlier this season.

How about that then done to Bristol to what they did to us. Makes up for the Stoke and Bournemouth losses

We should play hard in injury time and loaf during ,match. We only score in extras. at least tonight.

If you want to get anywhere sometimes you have to "win dirty" and last night was a good example.
One of our worst performances of the season but we still picked up 3 points - and revenge for their smash and grab earlier this season If we can keep doing that in our "off' games and win when we play as well as we can anything is possible.
If we can hang in there for a couple of weeks now until we get a fitter squad and use our games in hand we will be looking good. It would be good to have a cup run but I think we will field a weak team and probably lose to Rotherham - at least then we will have at least one Saturday freed up to hopefully play one of our postponed games.

It is tempting to say that we were dreadful last night and should have been two or three down early doors - because we were. We started by stroking the ball around at the back and City had a plan of a very fierce hard press, Every City man had a man to press and it was very high energy - but never going to be sustainable. Our defenders are good on the ball, very good, but we know that the price for that is that they have a mistake in them - we looked rattled. City ensured that Albert played right back and they targeted him. He started poorly but improved. Their goal was unlucky, a big deflection that Seny had otherwise covered. I have only seen their penalty claim live and I thought it was 50/50 - Pearson is furious and apparently the lino said he never saw it..... But that decision triggered the supporters and team bitching to the ref for absolutely everything and Davies did not once yield. Our penalty was 'soft' but Davies had a very good view. King got booked for telling the ref about consistency - a comment he would later regret. But we did start to play better and King was an idiot (like Dozzell was on Monday) to commit another obvious bookable offence right in front of the ref. The feeling of justice when we scored matched only by how bad their September smash and grab felt, was superb. Great result and end to 2021. Homework for the coaches, how to cope better to see off that initial high press and aggression. Happy New Year guys!

www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/nigel-pearson-bristol-city-fa-6478566The idiot Pearson has been charged by the FA after his comments about the ref. I appreciate that emotions run high straight after the game, but Pearson's comments were way OTT - saying that he should only referee park games etc. Do managers like Pearson not realize that even if he was right (and he wasn't) his comments will make zero impact and the charge he now faces. He did well at Leicester, but his self destruct button lets him down timw and time again. I wonder how long he has left in Bristol - and the game?
