Derby will be very happy with that! We gave the ball away for an early goal, have had all of the possession since but haven’t had any cutting edge at all. Need a bit more urgency in second half

Awesome goals by Lawrence, Willock and Gray. That Gray goal, though! That was special. Even when we went 1-0 down, I don't know about the rest of you guys, but I never panicked. Always felt this team would get back into it. This team, man.

I love the way Adomah when he won the ball back before the second goal was straight onto the attack-the speed of our breaks caused them problems throughout the second half. Chair will have to work on his heading though! Should have had two in the net.

We picked up 13 points from 15 in November , Bournemouth picked up 5. Gained 8 pts on them. ( we picked up most November, Hull 12, Fulham 11 next) Two big games before we play, could do with draws in both. Fulham v Bournemouth, Coventry v WBA Big game for us, a win would open up a 7 point gap between 7th place.

The biggest danger is that Warbs will win manager of the month and we all know the curse that brings but yes, there is a massive opportunity here.

Definitely! Dozzell is the second coming of Lord Derry. Hats off to the scouts, Sir Les, Warbs, LH and the hierarchy for finding and investing in these many diamonds the club has unearthed.

Well we beat all the bad omens I feared for last night and I can't stop looking at the league table with a smile and watching that winning goal. Next target is getting into the top 2 for Christmas Pleasing thing is that we have reached this position despite injuries and probably not yet hitting our top form consistently. The test will be to get through January in good position as we are due to lose Dieng, Chair and Kakay for up to 6 weeks as they go to the African Cup of Nations, probably losing them before the Bournemouth game as it was pushed back a day for TV. Then of course they quarantine on return if they do go. Really annoying thing is that Dieng only goes as his countries second choice keeper so we lose him to sit on the bench in Africa. Maybe that whole competition will be postponed again with the latest Covid variant. If not I think Chair will be missed although Willock is getting better game by game. We could revert to 2 upfront (if fit) or give Amos a run. The keeper situation would be interesting - would we go with the experienced man in Archer or see what Walsh can do with good reports of his performances and ability. Still not to worry until the time comes but enjoy the moment now.

One thought though, teams know that if they work a high press on us, especially from kick-offs, that we are vulnerable. Last night, again, we started either sloppily, or were out maneuvered. We could easily have been two down in the first ten minutes. We are good at coming back from behind, but Bournemouth showed how hard it is to recover from two. Likewise, after the half time break, we seemed to be under the cosh until we scored. Managers push teams to go high press on us - and we do not like it. But goals change games - and teams cannot keep the high press going indefinitely - if our opponents do not score (or even concede) they lose heart and stamina, and then we take over. Our players are very comfortable on the ball - even our defenders and we pass our way until the opposition tire and drop back. Our first goal was so good it lifted the team and demoralized Derby. They needed a win, but they could not sustain the momentum required. Our winner....what a finish, showed how tired Derby players were by the end. Their senior players are very senior and Willock, Chair and Gray all had more time and space than they should have had. But that was down to how fit the majority of our players are. I cannot remember the last time I thought either Chair or Willock needed resting in a game. The euphoria is very, very welcome, but I liked Warb's honesty when he said that both our goals could have ended up in the upper tier on another day. But we do need to start games better including after the break. But happy to enjoy the moment and third place for now! Am I the only one who is annoyed by Sky's love-in with Derby County and Wayne Rooney? The theme being that they have been treated harshly, the underdog, battling an unjust penalty? I think that they got away with so much.... fiddling their accounts for several years, selling the ground to their owners etc. etc. When we transgressed, I do not recall anyone feeling sorry for us - quite the reverse, we were castigated as cheats. So I am glad that we beat Derby County in summary

We are not out of 2nd gear yet. If we have a repeat of the 2nd half of last season, we will be champions
