Absolutely pathetic result. Defence is pretty rubbish , continue to average letting in nearly two goals a week. That result sucks badly.

As soon as we gave possession away in the Peterborough half I knew it was going to end in a goal. Way, way too easy to counter attack us as there is literally eff all pace at the back.
It’s the same carbon copy breakaway goal pretty much every week, now. Said it before and even the Posh commentators were saying it, that you reach a point in a game where you have to start thinking that if you aren’t going to win it then you damn well aren’t going to lose it either. Shut up shop, men behind the ball, don’t overcommit going forward and take the point.
But no, every week we go in search of the win, leave ourselves way too exposed at the back and one ball to any player with any degree of pace completely kills us.
I applaud the ambition, but at some point this lot have got to start using some common friggin sense and just take the point and move on to the next game.

We lost midfield right after Ball was taken off.
Actually, I have been wondering why Ball is always the player taken off or previously was left from starting eleven? I reckon him as one of our top important and most difficult to cover (right after Dickie) and still totally hesitant, card prone and unfit Amos is replacing him, when game is heated up?
Also, could someone please tell stats when we have started with two upfront? We just don´t do anything with two strikers when we have lost our midfield. Especially without balancing players there, our defence is also vulnerable.
About wingbacks. Maccallum have to have some clause added into his contract, otherwise there is no reason what so ever for him playing such minutes. Totally useless for couple of last games, actually without his few goals, he has featured very litte do far. Could Uncle Albert be played as left wingback? Anyway, Alberts crosses are so weak and badly directed that maybe he could be more beneficial when cutting inwards....? Well, just a thought.

Thanks bards I wonder why Austin cant play a whole game? Is he damaged goods? One game he starts and leaves at 60 mins next he sits until 60 mins. Out of shape? weak legs. God knows.

I watched the 'highlights' and we had chances to draw or win, but the errors for the Posh goals were pretty poor.
I think the key issue for us now is consistency.
Albert had a great game Tuesday and pretty much a mare yesterday - losing his man when defending and failing to get in decent crosses.
McCallum was also poor - and Johansen's value when we lose possession is pretty diminished compared to when we have the ball.
I think Dunne is a good prospect, but he tooo had a poor day.
Don't think Charlie and Lyndon were ever going to convert yesterday.
But they are not bad players, they are developing players who find it hard to maintain their form.
If they were the finished article, they would not be playing for QPR wages.
Disappointing, especially as Posh sat back and got the result - Blackburn sat even deeper and didn't - but I guess that is the rub of the green.
We were delighted to see our team keep going for it on Tuesday and getting the result, but the team was apparently naïve for not seeing the game out yesterday - fine margins.
I agree with Bardsley that we lose the midfield when playing two up top, I think Charlie is more like an impact sub now - not a 90 minute man.
Ball is a curious one - his passing is not great but he does have a presence, one that is vastly depreciated once he has been booked - the cover, Field or Owens, has not been available and I guess the thought is that Dom needs resting.
We seem to be easing Amos back and Dozell is another inconsistent player.
As for Rangersman - I expected his reaction - the only one on here who Laughs Out Loud when we lose or defend poorly........it takes all sorts!

Have to agree with everything Ricky said Consistency is the main problem we called for change Tuesday got it hailed Albert's performance then watched him all at sea defensively yesterday last year at this time we couldn't hit a barn door we made significant signings in January and like a new manager bounce went on a new players run of form now we seem to have reached a peak win some loose some no real form certainly not top 6 just imagine getting promoted after a win at Wembley again with the same squad you only have to look at Norwich yesterday and there were best team in championship last term that's scary 😀

How long you've been a supporter or whether you'r Shepherds Bush born and bred is irrelevant. The issue some members have with you is that you only share your opinion when we lose. Plenty of others have said that our defence is shite but they also come on and give plaudits when we play well and win. You're entitled to your opinion of course but if you post that opinion on here, you have to be prepared to have it challenged. Anyway, as far as real fan is concerned, you lost that privilege when you stated that, if QPR were relegated, you'd stop supporting them. |
