Why are we conceding so many goals? It is easy to say that we are crap - or whatever, but when we are good, we are very good. But we are pretty frail - so why? Several individual errors – far too many! Injuries to both left backs- unlucky Right wing back – vacancy needing applicants -– Kakay and Moses both seem to have a problem running back and defending. I think Kakay is the better option, but it is marginal. Our adventurous attacking play invites the ball over the to and we lack pace to get back. Missing Field playing in front of back 3 De Wijs injury prone and a limited skill base – badly exposed by a decent centre forward at Fulham Seny still a class act controlling his area and catching – need to save us a few more times. Dunne developing but needs game time
I think that we should go with Dunne, Barbet & Dickie. But really feel we need a right wing back and Field fit as soon as possible. Thoughts anyone?

Are goals against don't lie of course we are not shit we have a lot of talent here but after listening to MW after the game he says of the basics we don't do not managing the game better individual errors it has been the same for the last few seasons sure we have lots of goals in us but a soft under belly ti again comes down to coaching on the training ground how many times have the players been told about basics game management ect we are much improved due to the quality of players we have now

If the playoffs are a reality all must step up now I'm not calling for warbs head not at all but some times management have to change tact if we concede goals for fun

I can’t see this team finishing in the top six, they score enough goals but let in far too many. Sloppy goals before this game have cost us 4-5 points already. We have conceded more goals than everyone bar Peterboro. This game we were pretty much outplayed, no complaints from me Fulham were the better team and clinical.

Well everybody talks about our having four decent centre backs and a good keeper but the goals conceded don’t support that. The wing backs are a big part of the problem so far this season - they don’t seem to be aware defensively and are regularly caught on fast breaks. Possibly the midfield support could be better too.
Ball getting a silly booking in the first ten mins had a big impact yesterday too, he was basically of limited use after that - that’s where the manager is right about individual errors.
You have to hope that getting Sam Field back and Lee Wallace will make a real difference, otherwise mid table is where we are headed.

Ball has taken a lot of stick after yesterday. His early booking was daft and rendered him ineffective. But he was a free transfer, can play in numerous positions, hardly ever gets injured and has started most of our games this season. He is a great squad player, but yesterday he should have been replaced by Amos after 30 minutes max. Opponents have totally sussed Odubajo. He alwasys cuts inside into traffic, plays very far forward and does not run back unless engaged in a one on one. He can also be easily turned in defence. Yesterday, Johansen was covering in front of Dickie more often that Moses. I am sure he is a lovely lad who has had a tough upbringing, but it is either the coaching, or his failure to follow instruction, but we are being targeted on our right side. This leads to Dickie being exposed and gaps in the back three. It is as if we are too slow to switch to a back 5 when we lose possession. Our right wing backs are more like wingers - wingers who cannot cross or go on the outside. Wallace and McCallum fair better on the left. Hindsight is always easy, but I think we needed to lose Chair or Willock if we needed to get two strikers on. Johansen was overrun once Ball was hooked. But Albert would be a better option on the right if we are going to play as a winger, at least he can cross.

We were warned by Sheff Weds about Odubayo . They said he would be be good going forwards but ineffective defending and concede lots of goals. So far they have a point.

Sadly that does seem to be the case. He needs to reset and think about why he was brought in. There is hope yet, he’s not shite, just loses focus

Rico and vofster make good points here.
At the risk of boring people. I will repeat what I have said many times before ever since day one that Mark Warburton joined the Club. This is a manager (despite certain qualities) who simply does not believe in defence as a solid foundation. Never has throughout his entire managerial career. Don't believe me? Ask any Brentford supporter!
We could have the best individual defenders in the entire football league and yet still let in loads of goals under his set up.
This is such a shame because our forward play in general is of good quality and entertaining.
