From WLS some explanation of squad and positions www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/qpr-v-barnsley-line-ups-no-dykes-starting-places-for-thomas-and-dozzellQPR v Barnsley line-ups: No Dykes, starting places for Thomas and DozzellBy West London Sport 21/08/2021 QPR are without Lyndon Dykes for today’s game, while there is a first league start for summer signing Andre Dozzell and also a starting place for George Thomas. Dykes, who picked up a knock at Middlesbrough in midweek, is absent from the squad. Charlie Austin leads the attack. Osman Kakay comes in for the suspended Moses Odubajo, who was sent off at Boro. Dozzell is in for Dom Ball, who drops to the bench. And Rangers have been forced into a reshuffle because Lee Wallace suffered a hamstring injury at Boro and Sam McCallum is still not fit to play. Yoann Barbet is therefore set to move out to the left. It means there are four changes from Wednesday’s team. QPR: Dieng, Kakay, Dickie, De Wijs, Barbet, Thomas, Johansen, Dozzell, Willock, Chair, Austin. Subs: Archer, Dunne, Ball, Duke-McKenna, Adomah, Kelman. Barnsley: Collins, Sibbick, Helik, Hitching, Brittain, Styles, Benson, Palmer, Oduor, Woodrow, Frieser. Subs: Walton, Halme, B Williams, Moon, Thompson, Cole, Adeboyejo.

Why don’t we just give Barnsley 6 points every year, every time they play us we concede 4-5

I must say i cannot see all the fuss about Dieng, seems to let in a lot of goals. Pretty average in my book.

We are at home, MW needs to sort this out at half time.

Well that was one of the poorest 45s I have seen from Rangers for a while, hence making two subs after 30 mins. It would have been no injustice going in 3-4 down there , we got away with two. Totally outplayed, let’s hope for an improvement

This team, man, they never give up.
Austin has certainly spoiled one poster's day with that equaliser!

Austin day, played whole match and let us grab a point at the death, Austin was having a pretty poor game - but then...... Barnsley play a certain way and for the first 30 minutes we allowed then to dominate. Out numbered in midfield and without a defensive midfielder, a right back playing on the left and a midfield player on the right. Frankly, they should have been out of sight at half time. But full marks for the changes and the recovery....I loved it. I even got 3 points in the prediction league.... what is not to like?

Good comeback. Warburton started with the wrong line up but put it right with a couple of brave early subs. Happy - we are top of the table (for a couple of Hours at least) and someone fell silent !

Austin looked as if he could barely walk towards the end. He had a couple of glorious chances which he fluffed but still did the business at the death. Also, I thought Uncs was brilliant, terrorised the Barnsley defence. And yes, noticeable that someone was conspicuous by their absence for the 2 away wins but popped up when we were playing poorly with key players missing and having only played Wednesday night. Must've gone shopping for the 2nd half today.

A couple of other plusses:-
Our best season start for years Jimmy Dunne did great when he came on

Whenever he comes on he really looks the part. I think another great signing. I thought Dickie looked injured or tired today though. Not many who played today will start on Tuesday though.

So far so good. 8 points from 4 games with is not bad going given the fixtures. Now if we can keep that rate going we will have 80 points after 40 games - not a bad place to be, with a manager who knows nothing and a goalie who keeps letting goals in ( not my opinion) but I have probably just put the kiss of death on that one!
