Buying Charlie was obviously the right thing to do but I do worry about how much he will actually play this season.
60 odd minutes against Millwall before getting a knock on the knee. Forget cups as I do not think he will play in them. Now he has missed Hull and likely to miss Boro. He will still get well into double figures but his injury record could put Dykes under strain or worse still if Dykes picks up a knock at the same time. This is either the chance for Kelman to step up when needed or maybe we still have time to pick up a proven striker on loan.
Not sure who might be free but I wonder how much Hugill will see of the pitch at Norwich this year although Wells would be better but I doubt either would want to be 3rd choice with us.

Definitely can't afford to lose Dykes, not sure how much time Charlie is set to miss. On the plus side, other players have stepped up on the scoring end, which also relieves pressure on Dykes. I do feel like we won't see Charlie play many full games until the new year, and hopefully they can give Dykes some breaks here and there. Should give Kelman some minutes in games they have a strong lead to give Dykes a breather here and there.

Last season Charlie was invariably subbed out at around the 70 min mark. When he's fit I'd suggest the same will happen this season.

I think just having Charlie at the club is a big advantage. It's no coincidence that Dykes's form came good after he arrived.
