Our defence was much better in those 6-8 games , ok we rode our luck on occasions for sure. Defence has definitely let old habits return a bit against Birmingham and Barnsley. Well we are playing midweek for more weeks yet so if they are tired, make them go to bed earlier I won’t panic unless we lose or fail to beat Wycombe and Rotherham start winning again.

Tired, no excuse. Same for all teams. Are they made of tougher stuff in a South Yorkshire then? Like to have heard the manager say we were well beaten by a better and much fitter side but instead it was all about missing chances not playing through the channels and the thirds whatever the hell that is.

Tired is not an excuse but a fact. Compare Dickie to Cameron. One young man is still going strong, one older man who was never intended to play every game was on his knees in the last couple of games and that leads to the odd mistake or letting his opponent get in front of him to score with a header. We need to replace Cameron this weekend or Wells will murder him. I have read Warburton comments about Barnsley being a good team who do things well, and also read him saying we missed early chances - which we did - eg Dykes. He also criticised the way we did not do things right in certain areas - also true. Are these "excuses" or statements of fact that people want to turn against him. Nowhere did he say we were unlucky or anything similar. What do we expect him or any manager to say after losing a game?

Nowhere did he say we were unlucky or anything similar. What do we expect him or any manager to say after losing a game? I agree. If the manager plays Cameron for anything more than 45 minutes tomorrow, then I think he will lose credibility and his science fitness mantra will suffer. It may be hard for Jordy De Wijs to complete 90 minutes given he has been out for 4 months and Warbs has not played Kakay in the back three for a while. Likewise, neither Wallace or Hamalainen are reliable enough. Kakay quite recently came on and played left wing back and did ok. So I would like to see either Kakay or Field play there tomorrow - at least then he may get 90 minutes gameplay. As for tiredness, when winning, the adrenelin keeps you going - especially if like on Wednesday, fresh legs are introduced to maintain the tempo. But when chasing a game or on a losing streak, heads drop, effort reduces, players think tired. Many winning streaks are built on utilising very few players and unchanged starting teams. Confidence breeds confidence and the opposite is true as well. Pearson seems to get the new manager bounce more than anyone else I can think of, but then it seems to go pear shape behind the scenes, So not too hopeful tomorrow. But lose to Wycombe and I may well steer clear of this MB for a few days as I can guess what it will look like.

I guess he could say we lost to the better team which we did and we were tactically outmastered which we also were.

I guess he could say we lost to the better team which we did and we were tactically outmastered which we also were Some of the post match comments from Warburton and WLS below - can't see much wrong or missing there and include: “Barnsley are very good at what they do. They’re direct, commit bodies forward and take risks at the back,” (ie your "we lost to the better team") " make sure we impose ourselves on the game and don’t play to their strengths." (ie your "tactically out mastered" although I think "out mastered" is a bit strong when you look at the stats) Do we really want to see the manager publicly run down the teams' confidence further with more direct negative comments in the press?. His job is to handle the issues behind closed doors with the players. The only "excuses" below (which are really just statements of fact) are that he says we missed 2 early chances which would have changed the game (true) and we screwed up for their third goal (true) and that we played to their strengths (true). He knows he can leave the rest to the keyboard warriors and by leaving it at that he attracts a lot of the criticism and deflects it from the players - as a manager should. Quotes: QPR manager Mark Warburton felt his team paid the price for failing to take two early chances against Barnsley. Rangers were beaten 3-1 by a Tykes side whose sixth consecutive win took them into the play-off places. After Charlie Austin’s equaliser cancelled out Daryl d***’s opener, Alex Mowatt restored Barnsley’s lead with a superb free-kick and a routine ball over the top led to Carlton Morris scoring just after coming on as a substitute. The result might have been very different had Austin or Lyndon Dykes scored when the game was goalless. Austin fired over after being set up by Stefan Johansen, and Dykes was unable to put away Todd Kane’s cross. “Barnsley are very good at what they do. They’re direct, commit bodies forward and take risks at the back,” Warburton said.“We had to time our runs and not play to their strengths. In the first 10 minutes we did that and created a couple of great chances. We’ve got to get our rewards. “We’ve got to be better in front of goal. If you give away set pieces and don’t take your own rewards, you pay the price. “If you score the goal it changes the game because the opponent then have to come out and attack and we’d have space and are a team that likes to move the ball.”The manner of Barnsley’s all-important third goal also frustrated Warburton. Rangers were pushing for an equaliser when they were caught out by Mowatt’s long ball. Warburton said: “At 2-1 down we’ve got to be patient, make sure we impose ourselves on the game and don’t play to their strengths. “To then give away a goal like that – we’re attacking down the left and then don’t get into shape – is criminal.”

Well i have not hated every manager we have had over the last 55 years, just the incompetent blamers we have acquired now and again. Anyone with logic can see we have ridden our luck for a few games recently. Only 55 years - give it another 9 and you will catch up with me. My logic tells me we had a run where we tightened the defence (when the manager changed formation) and have hit a wall as the 3 game a week routine has taken it's toll, especially on our older players. Luck when we win, bad manager when we lose? Not logical. Perhaps we are watching different games, who knows

As you said in a recent match thread you went out shopping and when you came back we had let in 2 goals. I do not go shopping half way through watching a match but each to their own.
