Looks like Rotherham may have blown it but it's never over until the *** lady sings, as they say. Good start for Rotherham with the early goal but then playing most off your 4th game in a week with only 10 players was never going to be good. Derby vs Sheffield Wednesday last game of the season could turn out to be interesting though. So we cannot reach the play-offs. Any chance of the top 4 being deducted points for FFP Staying in the top 9 would be good and catching the Fakes even better. I feel we may get a backlash from Norwich though after they just lost 2 in a row or maybe they have taken the foot off the pedal now they are up. Teams often have a blip once promotion has been confirmed but the Championship still needs to be won. IIRC, we went through similar 10 years ago.

The top is settled apart from jockeying for who plays who in the play-offs and a slim chance of a change in Champions. At the bottom it's still Wycombe plus 2 from 3. Derby showing how poor they are but the other 2 not taking advantage. Rotherham lost 4 in a row by the odd goal but still have 2 games in hand. I can imagine a shock by them turning over Brentford next week and their other game in hand is Luton away Next Saturday is Sheff Wed at home to Forest , Rotherham at home to Blackburn and Derby away at Swansea. The sort of games where anything can happen. Could set up an interesting last day of the season with Derby / Wednesday playing each other with Derby's goals scored being the worst of the lot and goal difference currently equal. The only thing better than seeing Derby relegated would be to see them go down on a goal difference of one goal If I were a gambling man what odds would I get on an accumulator of SW and Forest drawing 0-0, Derby losing 1-0 at Swansea and SW beating Derby 1-0 .....Goodbye Wayne. Great to watch what is happening at the bottom without even thinking about us being involved. Just hoping now we can claw back above 10th - single figure finish sounds so much better plus hope that we stay ahead of Millwall ( wash my mouth out with soap and water for using their name)

I don’t think Derby will get another point but will Rotherham get 4 ? They have Brentford , Blackburn , Luton and Cardiff , 4 points might do it but if they could win will probably stay up with a better goal difference . Derby have Swansea away and Sheff Weds at home.

You may well be right, but if you are, it will be pretty incredible that just 43 points will be enough to survive. Crazy season though. I do think 46 will be enough at the moment.

So Reading and Swansea drew 2-2 which means the automatic promotions and the play off participants are decided. No final day dramas there then.
Barring an absurd set of results, Wycombe will be relegated. Really hope the other 2 places aren't decided next week so we can get a little last day excitement.

What a season Luton have had. (not that I like them - or going to their ground!). They were losing two nil at half time today and came back to beat Bristol City 3-2. So well done to teams running to a tight budget: Luton, Barnsley, QPR and even Preston. Meanwhile Nigel Pearson's Bristol City continue in freefall. The relegated teams (and budgets) dominate, but good to see some of the big spenders struggle. Sheffield Wednesday, Derby, Nottingham Forest and Stoke have all squandered money and have nothing to show for it. Reading have some decent players, but will they be able to keep them together next term? If the current bottom three in the Prem come down as expected, Fulham and WBA will be expected to yo-yo or there-abouts, but I think the Blades could struggle. Could be quite a Summer of uncertainty for some of the so called bigger Championship clubs.

Only 1 game in hand now and still 4 points behind Derby, can't see Rotherham surviving now.

If the can beat Blackburn Saturday and Derby lose to Swansea , they have a sniff still but it’s last chance saloon now, must beat Blackburn.
If they could do this they would be 1 point behind with two games left with Derby just one.

Must admit it looks dim for Rotherham - 5 defeats in a row all by the odd goal so I still feel for them with their fixture pile up.
Being an eternal optimist though I am still holding slim hopes for Derby to go down. If they lose at Swansea and either of Rotherham of Sheff Wed. pick up a point it will still give Rotherham the edge if they win their last game in hand and even if not it will all be down to the last game of the season. Derby V's Sheff. Wed to decide who drops. Derby would only need a draw to finish above Wednesday but then Rotherham could sneak ahead of both with the right combination of results.
I do have the dilemma though that I wanted Wednesday to go because they got caught with their finances but somehow got their points deduction reduced. But then Derby's 'games' with FFP rules and their ground were as bad if not worse than Wednesdays so they should make the drop.
Still I hold hope for a Rotherham miracle but fear that Derby might just scrape through. It may all come down to goal difference and then Derby will be in trouble.

2 goals in 3 minutes for Swansea means that, if things stay as they are, Derby v Wednesday will be a tasty encounter next week.

Rotherham draw, Wycombe win. All 3 in the relegation zone on 40 points although Wycombe need an 11 goal turnaround

If Rotherham can win against Luton Tuesday they will really put some pressure on Derby . I reckon Sheff Weds will beat Derby anyway and send them down , why not really they have earns three points more than them before they face them. Hopefully Rotherham can beat Cardiff next week so we can finish eighth.

Great end of season coming up. Hopefully Rotherham can win at Luton and then it will be really interesting on Saturday. Really want us to finish well against Luton, 5-0 would be great. We have had a fantastic season considering where and how we started so want to finish in style. Then comes the big summer guessing game. With Amos and Caroll coming back, Field Johansen Thomas Ball Bettache all possible what happens with our midfield during the summer I think will decide how we go next season. I know who I want in the centre but time will tell. PS Sorry I can't help asking but is Rangersman ok or is he resting hoping it is all a bad dream?

PS Sorry I can't help asking but is Rangersman ok or is he resting hoping it is all a bad dream? There's a chap called Roland Beadle on Facebook who posts on the QPR page in a very similar manner. Hmmm, I wonder.

Interesting that depending how the the last Saturday goes, the surviving team may do it with just 43 points. We thought we were in peril and yet we got to 43 points in our 33rd games - so with 13 games to spare. Of course Peterborough were relegated with a record 54 points in 2013, so we are always right to panic, just in case. Fair play to Wycombe though, currently bottom with 40 points, and not technically relegated until the last day The bottom Championship club has only finished with more than 40 points 5 times in the last 25 years. They gave a decent account of themselves.

Current odds on the other two to go down with Wycombe as of today.
I still think Sheff Weds can get out of this with a win at Derby . Would be crazy if Rotherham get a point Tuesday , Sheff Weds win against Derby and Rotherham beat Cardiff.
Rotherham stay up sending the other two down even if Wednesday win.
Sheffield Wednesday. 1/9 Rotherham. 2/5. Derby. 11/10.

Apparently a lot of clubs have been offering quite talented players to go on loan at Rotherham. Including some of the bigger clubs in the EPL. None of them like Leeds and also Derby.

Rotherham could only manage a draw so remain 2 points behind Derby. Derby have there fate in their hands if they win they stay up.
Derby lose they go down Derby win they stay up. Derby draw and Rotherham win Derby go down. Derby draw , Rotherham draw or lose Derby stay up.
Sheff Weds have to beat Derby and hope Rotherham don’t win to send Derby and Rotherham down

All set for a big last day then.
Dreams of Jordan Rhodes doing a Zamora with an injury time goal to send Derby down.

Paul Warne's Rotherham - who have played 11 Championship games in 33 days and won just one of them 👀 Well it had to be us didn’t it...
I’m hoping Wednesday beat Derby and can’t see Rotherham beating Cardiff, unless they put a weak team out which they really shouldn’t do. Derby and Rooney would going would certainly make my weekend.

With nothing to play for, perhaps the Blue Birds have been conducting training sessions at the City Arms.
Solskjaer: "Show up at noon or you will not play this weekend".
This might conceivably help The Millers.

Last game of the season with everything to play for so expect some strange things to happen. Wednesday put 5 past Cardiff the other night - they could do the same to Derby. Rotherham have kept losing but just by the odd goal and have been knocking on the door in many of those games. Time for then to get a win on the board. Motivation and nerves will play a big part. Absence of fans could work either way for any of the teams.
I know which way I want things to go but I am on a bad run with non QPR forecasts recently so sill say no more other than I want us to win and overtake Cardiff - which means they have to lose to Rotherham.
Top of the table is the most boring end of season for a while - only thing to play for is to try to get home advantage in the play-offs. Plus Fulham could be gone by the end of the weekend - Happy days

If there was VAR in the Championship, that Wednesday goal would've been disallowed
