I was just wondering why this game is happening so soon . It was called off 1st January because Luton had positive covid tests. Therefore players have to self isolate for 14 days that is supposed to include anyone they may have come in contact with. That really should be the whole team and staff who train together travel together ect ect. Now I got O level maths, but for those that have not this is 12 days later . So why is it being played now? And I do realise they played saturday just 1 week later but were pretty much forced to by the FA . Are there different rules for footballers and isolation?

Have given up on trying to fathom any consistent patterns in the covid measures. My wife has simplified the matter ("stay home genius!") by obliging me to wear the dog's invisible fence collar. Its proven to be a mild deterrent to me walking up to our excellent local. That aside, nothing would surprise me on measures, including cancelling the game at the 11th hour.

I think the isolation requirement is only 10 days now and its from the point of contact so could be that happened a day or two before the game was called of.

You are probably right about the 10 day rule. It seems the rules chop and change as often as the weather. I still not keen on our staff and players mixing with theirs so soon after an outbreak though. I don't think I would want to, and this could of been played later than 12 days after the outbreak. I just feel football is pushing its luck with the amount of positive tests, the constant traveling of teams around the country. How many positive tests and cancelled games is it going to be before the government step in and call a halt to football.

After seeing the fans together and pictures from the weekend with the various FA Cup fans without masks taking photos I’m not sure we should be playing at all for a month. Let’s face it our hospitals are packed full with 30,000 + people in hospital and we are still playing. Now I think is the time to have a months mini break, start back up mid to end Feb. Even by playing it puts another 50 people in hospital it’s 50 to many. I’m with Warburton on this.

Even more amazing was Bonne playing shortly after a family member had passed. Not sure but did see the words on his tee shirt.
