Really sad news and we can only hope he makes a complete recovery and return to his best - that is a nasty injury that can lead to complications with other parts of the leg later.

Being totally mercenary I hope this does not mean we miss out on transfer add-ons such number of games played, goals scored, international games etc. And tell Palace not to come sniffing for Chair as a temporary replacement.

Did this happen before or after Hodgson retired? The myth of Achilles is that his mother protected every part of his body except the Achilles. Thus the name, when she passed on, as ones Achilles Heel. So Hodgson the parental figure

resigns leaves Eze unprotected.

Actually it was the myth of Achilles mother dipping him into the River Styx so that all his body was protected except the heel thusly the only vulnerable part of the body is the Heel.

No that’s not possible as between 400 and 350 BC Roy was managing in Scandinavia and he didn’t manage in Greece until at least 100 years later

We could do with him being sold now, preferably to a Saudi league club for 100 million or so. We could then maybe afford to buy a couple of players this window! 

Last thing we want (and probably Palace as well) would be for him to run down his contract then neither club gets a penny.

Palace did that with Zaha, I doubt they will want to do it a second time.
