Big mistake both for the club and Warnock imo and it will all end in tears. A quick cameo to fight off relegation is much different to building another promotion team - especially in the Championship and current conditions.
Interesting comments from some of the Cardiff players after he left that his style of football is "antiquated" and they only started to really play and push up into the play-off places after he had gone and they started to play modern football.
However much people like him it's time for him to step aside and give younger coaches a chance.
Yeap - when he joined Cardiff in the first season he moved them away from the relegation places, took 2 years to get them promoted - and relegated straight back down and languished down the Championship table below their skill level until he resigned in November. My only question is - are Boro thinking and behaving strategically for the long term benefit of the club or are they continuing to hunt the quick pay back instant promotion at any cost. Time will tell.
