Premier League could be resumed end of Apr with matches being played behind closed doors ,once a game has been played the players will be kept in hotels that have been professionally cleaned almost like being in quarantine ,matches will be played in quick succession ,apparently the Government are on board with it ,so what's your thoughts on this decision if it goes ahead ?

To dangerous and by end of April too soon, there’s a chance we could be losing 500 + lives a day next week... that number might go up and it takes weeks to come down look at Italy and Spain. End May/ Beginning June more realistic , is it worth losing more lives potentially to players. i don’t think that is gonna happen.

IMO it's the TV pushing it because of the revenue it is losing I think they should void the season now no promotion no relegation

IMO it's the TV pushing it because of the revenue it is losing I think they should void the season now no promotion no relegation They have done this on Leagues under Conference level already a bit unfair on one team that had won 29 games from 29. I think we have to play it out but leave it until June , or you will get people sueing everyone ... Imagine if Liverpool don’t get the title....

I think it's going to get messy whichever road they go down. I can see an advantage in that there'll be loads of live footy on telly which will be good for morale as long as every precaution is taken.
I can also see how Sky would want to get footy back on telly ASAP. Millions will have paused their skysports subscriptions. Mine is saving me £21 a month, times that by the number of subscribers and that's a hefty amount of cash they're not getting. That said, I don't know what's happening with regards to the money that the clubs get from sky, will that also be suspended?

I think that at the moment every country is playing 'wait and see'. Watching and learning from other countries. It depends where we are on the cycle, but at the moment it is all eyes on Italy and Spain to see if they can come out the other side and what a second wave looks like there. We all understand that the plan is to flatten the curve and hopefully be better prepared for the peak. But I think the game changer will come when the retrospective tests are made available. Once individuals can test and show that they have successfully moved through the virus, there will be a desire to get as many back to work / normal as quickly as possible. Those that are therefore defined as immune will want to visit relatives / friends to lend support. If this retrospective testing is going to be available on the internet then it will be very hard to prove who of those walking about are clear and those who have just broken curfew. So I think such tests will be confined to NHS & Care Workers for as long as possible so as to maximise the self isolation. But as far as a return of football is concerned, I think that things may unravel faster than the government would like and games behind closed doors would have to be the start point because otherwise many would break ranks and want to be there. Compensating for the gate money is another huge task and it may be another one for the government to pick up. It will be a long time though until all the things we take for granted are back in place. Hope everyone is keeping safe - wherever you all are! Be good when we can discuss a game again...…. Perhaps we should have a prediction league for the date of our next game! Only joking!

latest all Premier League clubs meeting on Friday by video link to discuss the possibility of starting it in early May ,I can't see it myself also the possibility to void this season no relegation ,no promotion ,EFL not happy as they feel they are being cut adrift I can understand that because it seems to me it's like them and us they are like a separate entity which I don't feel is right all the League's should stick together in this current situation , I also think it is money driven by the likes of Sky and Bt Sports who are going to lose an awful lot of revenue if it does not resume

BBC reporting that the Premier League may have no option other than to finalise their season by 30 June, largely down to player contracts, shirt deals and TV monies.
Personally I think 3 up, 3 down needs to be retained somehow.
