200000 cases now confirmed around the world. it doesn't seem much when you consider how many billions of people there are but its the 8000 death rate that is scary. Admittedly nearly all have other health issues but it's still a very high ratio.
Stay safe, follow all advise but try not to overreact. Some of the scenes on BBC news of people buying more groceries than they are ever going ot be able to use is just ridiculous.

For anyone self-isolating or "working from home", this is an excellent website to get lost in. It has quizzes for every topic under the sun. It will help keep you sane. www.sporcle.com/search/quizzes/?p=1&s=qpr

www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/#countriesI use this one, it’s good to compare one day against the next with the now( today) and yesterday button, shows amount of new cases etc ... It’s depressing stuff but I look for glimmers of hope in new cases, after 6,000 new cases for many days, Italy have finally got it down to 4,000 a day, if it carries on dropping then so does the deaths. Stay safe everyone , one day at a time...l

Thanks Canda. Think its time to move to Fiji I would not recommend that near 3rd world hospitals with few serious medical facilities and throughout the Pacific Islands, this virus is spreading. Only India & Africa haven't shown any serious numbers but then how reliable is their reporting in those countries??

So these microscopic critters (viruses) don't like Zinc. So suck on zinc lozenges until the season starts up again.

India and Africa are the two places not hit as such, unless there's some dodgy reporting but I can see this thing going through India quicker than a dodgy Vindaloo.

Buy a pulse oximeter to measure Oxygen levels. It can get low and you still have no symptoms of coronavirus.

Learn to enjoy life without football. Take up darts or Badminton. Life's too short to worry about when QPR will start playing football. They did stop at the beginning of World War 2, no virus but Nazi bombs. a few years later we did start but the Referee had to man an anti aircraft gun if low flying Stukas came over. The Ref also took Alf Ridyards teeth and put them i his is pocket. Alf Ridyard was a center half with bad teeth.

Great news for NZ Andy. Here things are opening up, but real danger of it returning i Autumn. Also demonstrators who have been considerable need to be re tested because of close contact Doubt that will happen though.

I hope the protesters are happy. Spreading the word and risking everyone in the process. I note in the states it has resurfaced with vengence. I hope anyone caught looting in any country, gets a minimum 10 years no early release. They were just being W*nkers of the highest order taking advantage of a tragic event.

I would not recommend that near 3rd world hospitals with few serious medical facilities and throughout the Pacific Islands, this virus is spreading. Only India & Africa haven't shown any serious numbers but then how reliable is their reporting in those countries?? I hear Fiji just got flattened by a typhoon so not the place to go. India and Africa I fear are just starting with the virus and with living conditions and lack of health care in many parts there I hate to think of the death toll we will eventually see. While epidemics in the "third world"countries are usually helped by volunteers from around the world I cannot see that happening on this occasion. They are on their own - a frightening thought and good luck to all there. Brazil, India and South Africa all have areas of high density population. A friend in one of the nicer parts of the Cape has already lost 3 older members of their family to the disease.
