I used to work at Watford General and used to go and watch Watford (colleagues were fans). Having a staff parking permit for the hospital was very handy on match days!

I am at Watfrod General tomorrow for meetings, its going to undergo some major changes shotly.
As I read it WFC have only said "we could move" it has got planning permission nor do they own the land. They are about as far forward as we are.

They are about as far forward as we are. Well I think that there is quite a big difference. We have spent the last 6 years looking at options and we are now down to just one remote chance - the Linford Christie Stadium - I have never once heard of a realistic Plan B to relocate and the present stadium is not capable of expansion. Watford have redeveloped their stadium with a new stand (that can be expanded further), new changing rooms, hospitality suites and floodlights. The outer facia has been covered in modern cladding (hope it is safe!) and they have built a new club shop in Vicarage Road and another store in the shopping centre. Although struggling this season, last season they played in the FA Cup Final. The report says that they want to further develop Vicarage Road Stadium, but if not, there is a big opportunity in Bushey Heath where a Golf Course went broke and has stood empty for a few years. It is a big plot of land and it would be ideal. But they clearly have options and we do not. I am a rare blue and white hoop in a sea of yellow, so I regularly hear about how QPR used to be in the league above Watford, but now we are poles apart. Watford are my second team, but it still hurts. Watford Council would love to see the club move away from the city centre and Watford General Hospital (right next door) would presumably welcome the opportunity to build the new hospital on the vacant adjacent land if the club were to move. But the new hospital has been talked about even longer than the new QPR Stadium.
