The transfer window is barmy. Transfer Deadline Day is beyond crazy. Many Premier League clubs behave so irresponsibly (and we know how that feels) that ridiculous negotiations take place. The Jarrod Bowen debacle is a case in point. Hull's manager has said throughout that Bowen was not for sale this window. Then with 48 hours of the window left, Palace agree a reported £16m fee for Bowen. Then 4 other Prem teams join in the bidding with West Ham winning with a fee said to be rising to £20m. All agreed except Bowen fails to agree personal terms with West Ham. He is currently on £10k per week at Hull with West Ham offering him £60k per week. West Ham want to be able to reduce his wages in the event of relegation, but Bowen (his representatives) will not allow such a clause. So they have reached stalemate with 4 hours left. Isn't it time that relegation clause become regular practise for all clubs? I think the football world has gone mad. All that money slushing around in the hands of impetuous fools and greedy agents. I am getting old.........
